Story
Simba was saved from the kill list at the Lancaster Animal Shelter. He was most likely abandoned by his family and was found wandering the streets. He’s a sweet boy and loves attention. We wanted to foster him, but unfortunately the resident dog and Simba do not get along. We are hoping to find a loving home for him so he does not end up back at the shelter.

Thelma IS AVAILALBE (updated 08-23-2024).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Thelma , please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22662&name=Thelma Thelma is the sweetest girl who wants nothing more than to have a family of her own. She had a very rough start in life and was part of a hoarding case where A LOT of dogs were living in a one bedroom apartment. Thelma has since adapted to being in a foster home and part of a normal household. Thelma would love a home with another dog so she can have a companion. She doesnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t ask for much and is a very quiet dog. She is a lab mix on the smaller side and gets along with all other animals. Please fill out an application to adopt Thelma! The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.September 26, 2024, 12:22 am

Story
I'm new to Thrive as of 11/10/24! I was rescued from the Bonita Animal Shelter where they found me as a stray. I was sporting some battle wounds that my humans think indicate that I was potentially hit by a car. I'm healing, healthy, and safe here at Thrive!  I'm a stunning lab mix with a beautiful cream coat and massive paws. I might be a Shepherd, Husky, or maybe Great Pyrenees mix. I'm estimated to be around 5-years-old and weighing in around 60lbs. I look a little skinny so they're giving me really good food here. :)  Although I'm a little nervous of my new surroundings, I'm a big sweetheart and warm up pretty quick. Do you want to meet me? Please fill out an application and our Adoption and Foster Coordinator will be in touch if it's a good fit. I'm wagging my tail already as I'm so excited to meet you!!  ##2226792##

Story
Meet Taro! Taro is a very sweet black lab mix who was rescued with a huge gash on his face which our team hypothesized may have been from a firecracker. After months of bandaging and healing, Taro is a healthy pup and his wound has healed so beautifully! This sweet boy is so happy to be alive and really gives off that energy. He will wag your tail and give a big smile when you meet him.

Meet Milli! This resilient black lab mix was rescued with her three adorable puppies. Despite being found on the streets with a severely broken leg that couldn’t be saved, Milli’s spirit remains unbroken. While her puppies have all found loving homes, it’s now Milli’s turn to shine. Milli is a true ray of sunshine, radiating warmth and love to everyone she meets. She’s the perfect blend of couch companion and walking buddy, eager to be by your side through thick and thin. Milli is friendly with other dogs and absolutely adores people. She is a tripod (has only one back leg) but gets around just fine!
