He's a chocolate-colored boy with the most beautiful golden brown eyes, and this chocolate color is seen less in our rescue dogs and we know that a lot of people really like it. As if that doesn't make him beautiful enough, he has a white heart shape on his chest and white tips on his toes. Watson is a 1-year-old and smaller in stature - only 35 lbs now but he will get bigger, maybe 40 lbs when fully grown. He is ready for adoption. He is intelligent, friendly and social with people and dogs. His fosters say that he has an even temperament. He is crate trained, and leash and potty trained too. This pretty girl is Roxy. She has been in our care for awhile. She is almost 2 and has been through a lot. Her eye developed ulcerations and it had to be removed. It doesn't seem to have affected her at all as she is super friendly and playful and has become another of our pirate queens. If you want, you can buy her a pirate patch and maybe a cute bandana on her head, teach her to say AARRGH - we won't judge you! She could be a social media star and have a billion followers. Or just delight and amuse your family for the next 15 years. We don't know what the future holds for her, but we do know that she is a happy girl who is looking for a home and we hope you take her into consideration as your new family member. Roxy is about 2 years old and weighs about 65 lbs. She feell behind in her exercise routine after she had surgery on her elbow. It is an area that takes awhile to heal but she has and is doing great and dropping weight now that she can move about freely. As she is a Lab mix we think she could become a great walking/running partner. She needs more room to move around and exercise, and big comfy beds (or maybe the couch?), and big bowls. She will give you big hugs and big love too!! She loves people of many sizes but she doesn't like a crate. She is perfectly happy on her bed on the floor. She is potty trained and leash trained. Hi reader, this sweet boy is still looking for a home. I’ve had him since Aug 4th. and after all my efforts no owner has been found. He is really affectionate and wants to play like any dog his age. So far he can sit, lay down, wait, and drop it. I’m not expert dog trainer but I’m sure someone can teach him more as he is very food motivated. He gets along with other dogs (including my dogs pit bull and bully) we have met at parks and they just end up playing together. Mac is a happy, enthusiastic guy. He would love to go on adventures, exploring with his human. At the sanctuary, Mac is super happy wheneever he gets to go for a walk. He pulls hard at first, sniffing and discovering, but settles down after an initial few strides. Mac has an intelligence you see immediately when you look into his eyes. Mac is dog-selective, meaning he likes some dogs, but not all. At the sanctuary, he has been housed with several other dogs, and gotten along well, but he definitely decides who gets to be in his inner circle of trust! Mac has a few other challenging behaviors, which are manageable. He needs to go to a home with a responsible and experienced dog owner. Mac does not like enclosed spaces.....when he feels trapped he will give a warning bite. He also guards his food aggressively. When given food and left to enjoy it on his own, he is fine. One can pick up his empty bowl when he's finished, without incident. But interacting with him or his bowl while he's eating is a bad idea. He will bite. Mac will need time to warm up and will need a person who is tuned into his trigger points, and behavior cues. Mac does know basic commands, loves to show off his knowledge, craving the positive attention. He is still young and needs someone to give him extra training and also time to adjust to new surroundings. Mac is a true diamond in the rough, and just needs a dedicated, good hearted and patient person to give him the home he is longing for. If you have that good heart and patience, and you give Mac a chance, you will be rewarded 10 times over!
