Story
Young Rudy, born Feb 2024 was found one morning as a very young puppy buried in dirt near the shelter. He was taken into the SPCA PV sanctuary, and they learned that he was buried to soothe burns on his back where his hair is now discoloured. He currently weighs 22 lbs, we think he’ll grow to be about 45-50 lbs. He was lucky that one of our sweet mamma pups Keisha took him under her wing to give him the love he should still get as a young pup. He’s a playful boy that would love a yard and adventures, and maybe even a welcoming dog friend. He has been good with cats (though exposure is limited). Rudy is healthy and ready to fly. He is currently at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico, and will be able to fly to Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton (possibly also Vancouver island) or Seattle in fall when flights resume. If you think you might be the lucky home for him, write us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, or go direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw

Story
Ernest came to us when the previous guardian could no longer give him the exercise he needs. His life so far has been very chaotic and inconsistent so he would need to go into a home that can provide a consistent and attentive environment. He loves people and will crawl into your lap for cuddles. He is a bit nervous of new people but warms up quickly. Ernest would do best in a home that is dedicated to working with him and a trainer on general obedience. He has shown that he does well with dogs and could do really well in a home with another friendly canine. Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet me. You can also submit an application online if I am in foster or you would like to save some time when you come visit. While we do welcome online applications, in person meets have top priority.dogs:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/cats:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/Our visiting hours are:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 12-5Thursday, Public Holidays: closedSaturday, Sunday: 12-4 Primary Color: Black Weight: 27.6 Age: 2yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Meet Enzo! This sweet and energetic guy is excited to meet new people and is always ready for a fun adventure. Enzo is eager to learn and would thrive with a patient and understanding guardian who can help him with his good manners. He's very playful and food-motivated, making training a great bonding opportunity. While Enzo has had canine friends before, he can become overstimulated and struggles with communication around other dogs. A home where he can be the only pet would be best. Enzo also needs training to manage his resource guarding behaviour around food with other dogs. If you have questions about this topic, please reach out to the staff to discuss! This charming boy loves being active and would make the perfect hiking buddy, though he does need some work on leash manners since he tends to pull when excited. ⛰️🌲🐾👣If you're looking for an affectionate, playful dog who's ready to learn and explore the world with you, Enzo might just be the perfect match!Do you think you could be Enzo's person? Here are some ways to find out: 1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or 2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs. ✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Sarang ❤️(It means LOVE in Korean) * Interaction with People : Sarang is a bit shy with new people but warms up within a day! She loves people so much that with familiar individuals, she'll follow them around, asking for pats and attention with her sweet charms! * She's really, really gentle even when being held or petted. When you call her with arms open or sitting down, she'll run over and snuggle up! * Interaction with Dogs: She plays very actively and gets along well with all dogs without jealousy or territorial behavior. She's great with smaller dogs too! * Separation Anxiety: It's still unknown as she's living in a group at the shelter. * Potty Training: She's only used to outdoor at the center. *.Hygiene: She dislikes baths and having her nails trimmed but cooperates calmly. * Walking: She's been practicing walking regularly and can now walk well with new volunteers! * Car Sickness: She hasn't traveled long distances, but short trips were okay! She still seems to find it awkward in a car, seeing how she moves around in a car. 💌Special Notes💌 * She comes when called and has mastered "sit"! She's a smart dog who responds well to commands!

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Stella, Lady JANUs, A Retriever in Disguise 🐶 Our Stella seems so shy in her crate. Her demeanor says it all: calm and poised. Once she steps on the ground, though, our Stella changes 180 degree. She becomes another self, energetic and always up for fun. She is playful and gets along well with other dogs. Stella keeps her place as clean as a whistle. Stella takes time to eat by tasting and savouring each kibble. This habit makes other dogs jealous because Stella’s neighbours consume their own kibbles in a flash! There is so much love in those beautiful eyes. Once Stella warms up to you, she will be your loyal companion for life. Stella needs a family who can help her for her daily walk. Can you embark on a journey with her to show how beautiful this world can be?

Story
Meet Yoonseul❤️ She was struggling to survive at Korean City shelter, with lots of missing fur due to skin problems. She was rescued before her condition became worse in the shelter where contagious diseases are frequent.   * Towards People: Really likes people! Might be new to the touch of people but Is a cutie who shows lots of affection. * Towards Dogs: Is not the type to approach and ask for play first but gets along well with other doggy friends. * Hygiene: Takes baths well! * Health issue: Suffers from skin trouble but her fur is growing back much with regular medicated baths. Consistent care is necessary until the fur turns to the normal perfectly.
