Story
Meet Gus, a sweet and shy dog who is looking for a loving home where he can feel safe and comfortable. Gus can be a bit nervous when meeting new people, so he'll need slow, gentle introductions to help him build trust. Once he feels at ease, his loving and loyal nature shines through, and you'll quickly see what an amazing companion he can be.Gus is still learning how to walk nicely on a leash-he tends to pull hard, but he's making great progress with his harness training! He loves his walks, but he does have a tendency to snack on things he shouldn't find along the way, so his new family will need to keep an eye on him. Gus would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can run and explore safely. While Gus may have a few quirks, his wonderful personality more than makes up for them. He's a sweet, intelligent dog with so much potential to thrive in the right environment. If you're looking for a dog who will grow into an incredible companion with patience and love, Gus could be the perfect fit for you!If you want to meet Mr. Gus, please fill out a dog pre-adoption questionnaire here:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Black Weight: 32.5 Age: 1yrs 6mths 2wks

Story
Young Rudy, born Feb 2024 was found one morning as a very young puppy buried in dirt near the shelter. He was taken into the SPCA PV sanctuary, and they learned that he was buried to soothe burns on his back where his hair is now discoloured. He currently weighs approximately 40 lbs, we think he’ll grow to be about 50 lbs. He was lucky that one of our sweet mamma pups Keisha took him under her wing to give him the love he should still get as a young pup. He’s a playful boy that would love a yard and adventures, and maybe even a welcoming dog friend. He has been good with cats (though exposure is limited). Rudy is healthy and ready to fly. He is currently at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico, and will be able to fly to Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton (possibly also Vancouver island). If you think you might be the lucky home for him, write us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, or go direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw
