Story
Beauty came to us through our Animal Protection Department alongside a few other dogs. Before arriving in our care, her world was pretty small, so she's still a bit nervous with new experiences. But she is determined to shake off her jitters and is working hard every day to be braver. With the help of her favorite treat hot dogs, she's making great progress in her exposure training!Beauty bonds deeply once she gets to know you, becoming a loyal shadow who adores her people. She's a playful and wiggly girl and has recently discovered the joy of toys, often bringing them over to show off. She has also really become quite fond of giving hugs and kisses to her most favorite people! As she continues to build confidence, we know she'll become a fantastic walking companion and adventure buddy.Beauty has so much potential and just needs a loving, patient family to help her blossom into the wonderful, well-rounded dog we know she can be. If you're ready for a loyal, fun-loving companion, Beauty might just be your perfect match! Story
Billy is a handsome, shy guy who came to us through our Animal Protection Department. His world was quite limited before coming into our care, so he's still adjusting to new experiences. Despite his initial nerves, Billy is the most brave of the group. He warms up quickly, especially when treats are involved.Billy is a playful and goofy boy who's recently discovered the joy of toys. He loves showing off his finds, and is learning to play fetch now too. He is also starting to gain a bit more confidence on leash, and we know he'll be an excellent walking buddy, always ready to enjoy adventures with his trusted humans.Billy would thrive in a quiet home where he can continue building his confidence at his own pace. If you're looking for a loving, loyal companion who's eager to bond deeply, Billy may be the boy for you!If Billy sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill out the application below!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Weight: 26.4 Age: 1yrs 0mths 4wks

Story
While he may not have the ability to turn whatever he touches to gold, Midas has the gift to love with his whole heart and you'll quickly fall in love with this 3 year old Golden Retriever. 🥰 A lover of attention and lots of active play, Midas would do best in a home as the only dog. Loving the spotlight only on himself, Midas can make doggy friends with slow introductions in the proper environment. Midas loves to play (did we mention that already???) and would do great in a home with dog savvy kids. Being at the lake is always a favourite pastime and Midas loves to chase sticks in the water, as long as they're not too far out as he isn't the best swimmer. He's met cats and may chase out of pure curiosity. This boy is very food motivated so with proper correction and sweet potato treats, Midas could learn to leave these furry friends alone. His foster family reports that Midas loves going for lots of walks and he's very good on leash. He can get distracted when he sees another dog but his favourite treats always keep him focused. Crates aren't really Midas' thing and he enjoys the well earned freedom of roaming the house when his foster family is out. When left alone, this big softie lays by the door for his people to return. Not a chewer and completely potty trained, Midas is the epitome of a good boy. ☺️☺️ Midas would be a perfect addition to any family looking for an active adventure buddy. Always ready to jump into the action with his favourite people, Midas is eagerly waiting to meet you. 💙

Story
Meet Brix, a 3-year-old female Golden Aussie who currently weighs in at about 19 pounds (but she's working on filling out her frame!). With her soft golden coat and sweet, soulful eyes, Brix is the kind of dog who instantly melts your heart. Brix is a laid-back lady who's happiest simply hanging out. At home she channels her inner cat. This gal is the definition of a homebody, perfectly content to lounge around and relax. But don't let her calm demeanor fool you—she still lights up on a field walk or a visit to the park, where she'll happily trot beside you, soaking up the fresh air. This gentle girl is still learning the ropes, but she's making strides every day. She doesn't pull on the leash but needs a little extra reassurance around cars. She settles beautifully in her crate and is doing well with house training (no accidents here!). While Brix isn't much of a player yet, she's great at coexisting with other dogs and may just need time to find her playful side. She hasn't been tested with kids, cats, or other animals, but her sweet personality suggests she could be a wonderful companion for many family setups. Above all, Brix is a lovebug who thrives on affection. Whether she's leaning in for snuggles or gazing at you with those big, trusting eyes, she'll quickly win you over with her gentle heart. If you have a fenced yard, we'd love to hear from you! Note: Brix has not been tested with children, cats, or other animals.
