Meet Rudy! 🐾Hello, everyone! My name is Rudy, and I think I might be part husky and part shepherd, but honestly, I'm not 100% sure. I love to chat, so maybe that's the husky in me!I haven't had the easiest start in life, but the good news is that I'm still young and eager to learn. I can be a bit shy and unsure about new experiences, probably because I've spent most of my life in a kennel with limited opportunities to explore and meet new friends.I do enjoy the company of other dogs here, and I'm starting to warm up to the wonderful folks around me, though it's a gradual process. If you're looking for a loving companion and have the patience to help me grow into the amazing dog I know I can be, please fill out an application and come meet me! I can't wait to find my forever home! 🐶❤️ Primary Color: White Weight: 34.4 Age: 1yrs 1mths 2wks

.🐾 Meet Tyson: Your Future Best Friend! 🐾Hi, this is Tyson, and to say he's been through a lot would be an understatement. But you don't want to hear his sad story; what you really want to know is that he is a sweet boy looking for a loving home where he can truly belong.Tyson is a sweet dog-truly "man's best friend." He's still has some trust issues, who can blame him, and can be a bit shy at times, but he's learning to enjoy daily walks and positive interactions with people. Due to past injuries and experiences, Tyson has some fear of other dogs, so he will need to be the only dog in his new home. When Tyson originally came to us a few years ago, he had a severe ear infection that required extensive surgery and recovery. After recovering Tyson was adopted and has spent the last year and half with his family but unfortunately his new family could no longer care for him. So here he is again just a handsome boy looking for a loving family. A quiet adult home where he can relax by the fireplace and enjoy peaceful moments. Tyson does best in a space with not too many visitors, as he can be a bit nervous around new people. If you're interested in giving Tyson the loving home he deserves, please submit an online application. He can't wait to meet you! 💖🐶 Primary Color: Black Weight: 50 Age: 5yrs 6mths 0wks

Meet Enzo! This sweet and energetic guy is excited to meet new people and is always ready for a fun adventure. Enzo is eager to learn and would thrive with a patient and understanding guardian who can help him with his good manners. He's very playful and food-motivated, making training a great bonding opportunity. While Enzo has had canine friends before, he can become overstimulated and struggles with communication around other dogs. A home where he can be the only pet would be best. Enzo also needs training to manage his resource guarding behaviour around food with other dogs. If you have questions about this topic, please reach out to the staff to discuss! This charming boy loves being active and would make the perfect hiking buddy, though he does need some work on leash manners since he tends to pull when excited. If you're looking for an affectionate, playful dog who's ready to learn and explore the world with you, Enzo might just be the perfect match!** PLEASE NOTE ** Dog meets and adoptions are by appointment only. To secure an adoption meet, please submit an online application and a staff member will reach out. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 38.1 Age: 0yrs 9mths 0wks

Wally's intense play style means he needs a doggy friend who can match his vibe-there's no chill with this guy, just pure excitement!Wally is incredibly food motivated, which is great for training, but it's important to note that he can be protective of his meals. He'll thrive in an environment where his new guardian can work with him on this behavior, ensuring he learns proper manners around food. While Wally has had positive experiences with children, he is looking for an adult-only home that can provide the structure, training, and respect he deserves. He's not just a bundle of energy; he's also incredibly loving and friendly, eager to go on adventures with his humans. After a day filled with play, you'll find Wally happily curling up on the couch, enjoying some well-deserved relaxation. If you're ready for a fun-loving companion who will keep you on your toes and fill your days with joy, Wally is your guy!** PLEASE NOTE ** Dog meets and adoptions are by appointment only. Story
Hi, my name is Soba (Nono.) I am a 4 year old female labrador/Border Collie cross (best guess from my appearance). I have been in Canada (Greater Vancouver) for 3 years but, due to life circumstances of my adopter, he is unable to keep me. I am a loving dog who really enjoys being with my humans. I can be a bit vocal when I meet dogs on walks but I know I can learn some different greeting skills! After all, I'm part border collie and they can learn marvelous things! Please, please, come and meet me. You'll see what a great dog I am. I have recently been having a few knee problems which may need some help from a vet but you can find out more about this from my rehoming adopter. Whatever is the issue, it's not slowing me down much.  I  once had a family in the Middle East who actually rescued me from the street when I was just a month old. But they had to give me to the shelter for protection because someone called the police and they wanted to take me away. You see dogs are illegal to own here and quite often dogs are ripped away from our families and killed. I was lucky to be loved enough to be put in a shelter and not just thrown on the street. Even though I am safe from the police, life in a shelter can be very rough for some dogs. I am one of those dogs. I am a very sweet and loving dog and some of the other dogs see me a weak and are starting to attack me. I am so very scared so I would really love to get into another home quickly. I am not used to shelter life and I am getting very depressed. I really am a great dog. I am very smart and kind. I try hard to be friends with the other dogs here and I really do want to be friends and thankfully some of them are nice with me. I am loving with my human caretakers and I would love to be in a home, any home really. I would love to go on long walks and have playtime in the dog park too. I do have an advantage over some of the other dogs here in Iran because I actually did live in a home so I have an idea of how that is. I should make an easy transition into my new life. So as you see I urgently need to get our of the shelter before I get hurt by the other dogs. I am looking so forward to my new life in Canada all curled up and cozy in your home.   I am spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped    My adoption fee is $500.00    please see our adoption guidelines at www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca   nono/fariba   ##204543##

**Currently fostered at Okanagan, BC **Hello my name is Brodie and here is some information about me:  Brodie: 3 yrs - 28 kg - Male neutered - Shepherd mix - Good with cats – Good with dogs - House trained (maybe a couple of accidents in a new home at first) - He is skittish at first and needs time to gain trust - Only barks when very excited - Medium energy level - Good on leash but sometimes pulls when he is afraid - Healthy - When he was a 1 month old puppy, he was rescued from the street and kept in a home and once he got bigger, he was surrendered to a shelter in the Middle East. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems! Basic training should be taken seriously and should begin within a few days after arrival. After your dog has settled in, check out courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD + applicable taxes Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. More information can be found on our website.Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##1511836##

Story
Hi there. My name is PARIS and here is a little info about me:Breed: Lab mixAge: 4.5 years oldGender: FemaleWeight: 35 kgsHeight: 62 cmHighlights: affectionate, playful, like toys An affectionate, energetic girl looking for a good time. Quite playful. That's my singles ad. Heehee. My rescuer found me in a high school garden in Turkey with my 7 little babies. I actually was born into the same school garden, but had a car accident one day. The teachers who gave me food and water had me treated, but since I wasn’t spayed, I had already gotten pregnant. When my puppies started to grow, guardians of the students complained about me with false accusations and it caused my path to cross with my real rescuers. They found me a fenced garden where I can be safe. They are bringing food and water everyday, but I’m bored here because I love my human companion. The happiest times for me are when my rescuers bring me raw chicken, egg and dog biscuits. You could say I am spoiled, but for my lack of being able to interact with my beloved humans as I so desire. I love being petted and to hang out with people: https://youtu.be/futYesYv48Y. That's what us dogs were designed for, right?Though I will guard my space from another dog, once properly introduced, I am fine. I can be a bit picky who my good doggie friends will be, so proper intro is vital (large males especially.) I'm not an alpha and will get along afterward.  https://youtu.be/7mYppnNWYtM.I really like chewing on play toys and I can be left alone for hours without issue. I'm such a good girl. I do get excited easily though, so a bit of training will help that.I'd enjoy a fairly active home. Maybe long hikes in the forest or runs on the beach. I hear those are splendid. Absolutely we need our cuddle time too, so I can be, oh so close to you. Energy Level: High Fears: None observed. Please be patient during my transition. No prey drive observed. I get along with:Dogs: yes, bit choosy, video soonCats: UnknownKids: Unknown Training: some leashworkLeash skills: I’m comfortable on the leash, but please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Not yet. Please be prepared to help me learn! No crate training. Health notes: Xrays have revealed I was shot with some buckshot. It is causing no harm, so the vet said best to leave it alone.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. Story
Good day everyone. My name is Willow and here is some info on me:Breed: Labrador Retriever/Rottie/Pittie mixAge: 4 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 85 lbsHeight: tbdHighlight(s): sweet, people loving, alert, happy, eager to learn. I am a super sweet girl who loves people. My owners dropped me at the shelter in Texas, stating I am protective of my space, but it really seems to be because they are about to have a baby and don't want to bother with training me. Sad.Don't you just love my sleek black fur. Yup, I'm a happy labbie something, something, something mix... LOL. Best of all worlds. Grin.I have typical young dog energy. Toned down a tad now that I am 4 though. Now, while I do love people, I will bark at first if someone new comes to the house. That is my alert to my owner, hey someone is here. Once I see my owner is fine with them though, then I am friendly too. Being treat motivated helps. A morsel of cheese or other goodie and I am mush in your hands.I won the doggie jackpot being fostered by a dog trainer!!! Being with my foster I have developed confidence and have learned how to behave appropriately around other dogs. With proper introductions I seem to be good with pretty much all dogs now, Yay!!! I would love a forever home that will continue to set structure and boundaries to make me a confident doggo. Just give me consistent reinforcement & encouragement and I know I will be the dream dog you desire. My former owners kept trying to force interactions I was not comfortable with, since they just didn't have the experience to handle me. I just needed time to adjust and a bit of training and I am a new GIRL!!!. Truly, I am just a honey bunny, who you'll enjoy cuddling. Oh, I'm also already house-trained. Bonus score.
