Story
Cruz is a very handsome 10-month-old Labrador Retriever mix. If you are looking for a playful and loyal companion, he is the perfect boy for you! He is very smart and curious about the world around him. He would be the perfect companion for someone who is able to give him the time and attention he needs as he continues to grow. We think he will be a large dog when fully grown. While he’s an indoor dog, he also needs a home with a safely fenced yard to run and play in with his family. He is not suited for apartment/condo/mobile home/town home living. If there are children in the home, it’s preferable that they’re over the age of 7 years as they have impulse control. Cruz's adoption fee is $400. Here's what that includes: Neuter surgery Vaccinations (including Rabies) Deworming Vet Check Microchip License with Maricopa County Please contact Carrie On Rescue if you have any questions about Cruz or if you would like an application for him at carrieonrescuers@hotmail.com or call them at (480) 603-7680.

Story
Dutchess is a 1 year old, 51 pound Lab/Shepherd blend who joined us recently from a county facility. This stunning beauty has excellent leash manners, and knows her basic commands. She enjoys a good game of fetch, and you currently have about a 50% chance she'll return the ball to you. She is both playful and affectionate and perhaps her most favorite activity is snuggle time. She is enjoying being spoiled by one of our amazing foster homes and will be available at the adoption center on Saturdays from 10am-4pm. You may also email Debbie@AzFriends.org to inquire about a weekday meet and greet.NOTE: Saturday October 26 she will be at our BARKtoberfest fundraising event, located at the Gilbert Civic Center near the southeast corner of Warner & Gilbert Roads in Gilbert! Event is 8am-1pm Saturday, Oct 26.No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Fender is 6 years old and neutered. Crate and potty trained He loves car rides and LONG naps on the couch. He is an expert at keepaway, and loves new bandanas and collars. He is really mellow but enjoys a good game of chasing zoomies. He isn’t very keen on small children, but does well if they are 10+. We think he would be best suited for an active family with no current pets (cats/dogs/horses). Fender has good manners in a home and is a very nice boy. He comes with a basket of his favorite toys, a fully filled container of food (~20lb), food and water dish, all of his beloved collars and bandanas, a doggy bed, the remainder of his treats, a car seat cover, and a leash. With all the stuff he is coming with, and to ensure he goes to a good home, would like a $150 rehoming fee. ***THIS IS A COURTESY POST** if you are interested in meeting Fender or learning more about him, please visit our website luckydogrescue.org and click on his picture. There will be a link to an fill out an application below his bio.

Story
Hello, my name is Sedona and I am a three legged 4 year old Labrador/pit mix. I was found in the foothills of PHX with a shot wound on my leg so it was amputated when I was rescued. I have spent the last year with my current adopter who can no longer keep me since the other dog in the house and her don’t get along and have to be kept separate. I am house trained and just want to be loved and I always want to be around my owner. I am a great companion dog and want all the love and attention I can get. I love kids and people. I am up to date on all shots. I love love and you can’t even tell I have only three legs. I still love to play.
