Story
If you are looking for a big dog that hates to leave the house....ie no walks needed. Who is gentle, quiet and housetrained....and could easily be an only dog look no further....Chuck is your guy! He loves to be at home with his people and is fine being an only dog! He loves to walk around a yard and rest in the sun! He is fine at home and not destructive! He just would love a quiet household where he can watch TV, lay by his people and have a few snacks! Low energy is his favorite mode. He will jump around to great you in the am and when you come home but otherwise he is a quiet and sweet guy.  Chuck would prefer to never go for a walk! His home is his castle and as a guy who was without a home for 5 long years his goal is to never leave his home:) He loves soft dog beds, cheese, quiet people and being at home!  Chuck does need a home with a securely fenced yard.  If you have questions about Chuck his foster would be happy to talk with you:) Mary 602 568 5219 please feel free to call after 5 or on the weekends or texting is great too! Chuck has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $350 helps offset the cost of medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think Chuck could be the right fit for you, please complete an  application found on our website:     Application *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool   used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Story
Howdy! My name is Loki. I am around 8 years old and am a sweet and playful boy. I was found in an abandoned home after my person left me behind. The person who found me got information from the neighbors,  so my age is approximate. My teeth are nice and white so we think I am younger than the age listed. Loki is my real name, and I know it. I know basic commands and listen very well. I walk very well on a leash with a prong collar. Otherwise, I just want to explore like crazy! I love to play fetch and catch my ball. I really love my ball! I also really love to be with my person, and the attention I get from my person. I get along with other dogs but so far I don't play with them too much. If they run in the yard I will too. I am a good boy who will wait nicely for my human to come home. Please, can you give me a furever home? I will make you a great companion. PS... I have never gone potty in the house, but I would love a doggie door, or someone that is home all day Loki is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $200 helps offset the rescue's medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think he could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: https://www.helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application/ *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Story
Peach and Winston are about a year and a half years old and from the same litter. The light, sand colored Labrador Retriever-Pit-bull is Peach. The darker, brown colored Labrador Retriever-Pit-bull is Winston. As a healthcare professional, I have experience vaccinating humans, and decided to vaccinated them myself. Peach (female) is fixed, Winston (male) is not. They are both very high energy and LOVE people. They’ve lived with two cats their entire life and are both potty trained and kennel trained. They love their toys, but don’t chew on anything they shouldn’t. I’ve made a very difficult decision to join the US Navy and need to find a loving home for Peach and Winston. I love them both dearly and hope to find a caring family to take them both, as they’ve never been separate from each other.

Story
Maisie is about a year old, playful Lab mix.   She is very high energy and still needs additional training.  The current foster works with her consistently every day for about 30 minutes and she is making good progress in learning manners and calming techniques.  Maisie likes to play with toys and balls and likes water.  She plays well with most dogs and enjoys going for walks to get her energy out.   Maisie is crate trained and house broken and enjoys being around her people.  She is sweet and loving and wants lots of attention.  We recommend her forever home have older children or no children as Maisie is very active and still jumps.  If you would like to meet Maisie, please complete a Community Paws application (https://www.communitypaws.org/adoption-application)February 23, 2025, 8:57 pm

Meet Sonny: Your Loyal Shadow Awaits! Sonny is a sweet and loving 3.5-4-year-old lab mix who has spent most of his life living in a kennel at a boarding facility. This incredible boy has been waiting far too long for his chance at a forever home—and we’re determined to help him find it. Why You’ll Love Sonny: Cuddle King: Sonny is the ultimate couch companion, always ready to snuggle up and keep you company. Solo Superstar: Sonny is not dog-reactive, but he prefers to be the only pet in the home so he can soak up all your love. Patient Partner Needed: Sonny takes a little time to warm up to new people but is incredibly loyal once he trusts you. He needs a patient and understanding adopter. Leash Pro: He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and a dream on the leash—perfect for walks or adventures. However, he’s not a fan of bicycle riders, so some awareness is needed during walks. Kid-Free Zone: Sonny needs a home with no kids so he can thrive in a calm and consistent environment. Loyal Sidekick: Sonny adores being close to his person and will be your faithful shadow wherever you go. Sonny is neutered, vaccinated, and ready to bring so much joy to your life. He’s looking for a home where he can finally feel safe, loved, and cherished. Ready to Make Sonny’s Dream Come True? (Bear has a brother Tip) Bear is a beautiful 2-year-old Lab mix boy who has had a rough beginning but is now looking for a loving forever home. He is currently living with a wonderful foster who, due to illness, urgently needs to find him a new home. Bear enjoys being outside, so a home with a fenced yard would be perfect for him. He is super smart, catches on to things quickly, and loves toys and playing. Bear is food and treat motivated, making training a rewarding experience. He takes treats nicely and is doggie door trained and crate trained. Bear gets along well with other dogs 40 lbs or larger with proper and slow introductions. However, he needs a cat-free home. His behavior with children is currently unknown, so a family meet and greet is suggested. Bear is still a little timid but is ready to blossom with the love and patience of an experienced adopter. Bear is still a little timid, while Tip is pretty outgoing—they complement each other beautifully! While they do not need to be fostered or adopted together, they would love to stay together if you have room for both. If you’re interested in fostering, fostering to adopt, or adopting Bear, please contact the rescue that is helping find him a home. Bear is ready to shower you with love and loyalty! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. RIVER is available! 24-059 River  is a frightened young (estimated 2-years-old) stray that was taken under the wing of a Good Samaritan who could not keep her. The finder contacted us and we have been working with River to build her confidence. She was terrified of people when we first got her, but has made great strides in learning to trust. River needs someone who is loving and patient to help her continue to grow and thrive. We think she would do great with another well-adjusted dog to show her the way. Young children are not advised. A fence is mandatory. She is currently on an anti-anxiety medicine to help her adjust and it is working well. River is looking for a quiet, well-balanced home to call her own. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.OLIVER is available! 25-011 Oliver is a 6.5-year-old, 81-pound Purebred Golden, AKC Registered. He is not yet neutered, but AGR will handle that expense.  He had been with his owners since birth and was present when their young children (now 3 years old and 11 months) came home. Oliver is loving and sweet but suffers from chronic ear and skin infections that his owners struggle to treat due to time and financial constraints. He hasn't been around many other dogs or cats, gets excited greeting new people with a jump, knows basic commands, and is a wonderful family dog. His initial vetting has been done and he tested positive for valley fever with a low titer of 1:4.  Oliver will likely be on medications for the rest of his life for low thyroid, ear meds, and fluconazole for valley fever (the latter which might resolve over time).
