Story
Nori is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet! She is 6 years old. We do not know her exact breed because she was rescued as a stray. We think she may be part Lab and Doberman. She loves every person she meets and is very gentle. She will sit next to you and lay her head on your lap for hours. She is trained to NOT go on any furniture and is completely house broken. She is a goofy happy girl. She has gone to dog daycare and does well with the other dogs, however, she does not always like other dogs coming into her home. This may require some training. We would love for her to go to a home where she will get the attention and love she deserves. She really just wants to be with you and unfortunately with our schedules we feel we do not give her what she needs. She will come with a raised dog water and food bowl set, a blanket and bed as well as a sturdy collar.

Different policies and fees may apply. MEET KODA #2!! He is a sweet, loving boy who is shy at first. He loves to play fetch and go for walks and hikes.  He is scared of loud noises and the wind. On a windy day, he snuggles up under my desk and sleeps on his human's feet. His favorite spot to lay during the day, besides in the grass, is in the sun by the window. Koda has graduated from a certified obedience training class, and he loves to learn and please (and receive treats!). He is able to sit, stay, wait (for food, treats, or us), lay down, leave it (with food, sticks, other little toys, etc..), and walks well on the leash. He tends to pull a little in the beginning, and as he gets in sync with the stride, he does a great job. He also LOVES to go for car rides, even if it is just a short trip. We have taken him hiking as well, and he does great. Though he is part lab, he is not a fan of the water, though! He has needed some assistance across streams! He waits on his mat until we tell him, "Okay," when he is fed. He goes over there as soon as we pick up his food dish. After a walk, he just flops down on the cool tile. He has a distinct SIGH noise he makes as he is totally at peace and resting. He is always up for a good tummy rub! Koda has been on a Wellness plan through Banfield Pet Hospital. He is up to date with all of his shots, wellness check-ups, and heartworm medication. He has continually had his teeth cleaned, and he has been microchipped. Koda is a reactive dog due to his anxiety, and he SHOULD NOT be with cats or children. As mentioned before, he is trainable and loves to please. We have successfully introduced him to other dogs, though he should be supervised with them. Dog door trained, Leash trained, Crate trained, Does well in a car, Likes to fetch, Likes toys, Protective/territorial, Playful, Timid/shy, Skittish, Independent/aloof, Affectionate, Eager to please, Goofy  If you are interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website for our online application www.underdogaz.com PLEASE NOTE: This dog is courtesy posted for another individual or Rescue. MEET STELLA!!! Stella is a sweet girl who was found pregnant and lost in the desert in December 2023. She had nine beautiful babies in January who have all found their homes. Now Stella is ready to find her forever home.  Stella is house trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash. She loves car rides with the windows down, sunbathing in the yard with her stuffed animals, and being affectionate with her people. She loves being the center of attention. She enjoys exercise and walks, but is also happy being a couch potato. She is friendly with other dogs after introductions but is nervous and barks at dogs she has not yet met. Stella does play rough and would do better in a home with older children. Meet this beautiful girl today! Story
MEET BRUNO!! Meet charming 5-year-old lab mix Bruno, weighing in at 60 lbs. With a heart full of love, this sweet boy is discovering the joys of indoor living and positive human interaction for the first time. Bruno is a quick learner, picking up commands like "no" and understanding what it means to be part of a family. While he's still a puppy at heart, loving cuddles and all things soft, he's also loyal and trusting towards those who treat him right. Bruno gets along beautifully with other dogs and is at his happiest when he's surrounded by his canine friends. Although he's not fond of cats, he has shown no aggression towards humans and isn't food aggressive. Bruno has taken to his kennel as his safe space, sleeping soundly through the night without a peep. Thanks to his smarts, he mastered the doggy door right away and has never had an accident inside. He's also beginning to enjoy toys as he continues to settle into his new life. This handsome, loyal boy would make a loving addition to any home. While his foster would love to keep him, finding him a perfect forever home will allow them to save more dogs in need.  If you are interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website for our online application www.underdogaz.com.  November 5, 2024, 10:01 pm

Story
Introducing Chance, the charming 2.5 yr old with a heart as big as his paws! This lovable pup found himself in need of a new home when his previous owner, a Veteran, unexpectedly passed away. Valley Dogs stepped in with determination to help him find his forever family. Chance is a bundle of joy and affection, and he's on a mission to win over hearts with his boundless enthusiasm. He likes to lean into you and give you full body cuddles. If allowed he would be a huge snuggle bug on beds and couches. Larger canine companions bring out the best in him, he is great with female dogs and human attention is his absolute favorite – just try resisting his irresistible charm! This sweet boy is all about the treats and will gladly sit for one, only to bounce back with love to spare. While he may be a bit exuberant, and his size is not to be ignored, we believe Chance will thrive best in a home with an experienced adult who can continue his basic training and provide the exercise he craves. Ideal for families with older children due to his size and the fact that when excited he can jump, Chance is ready to bring endless smiles and tail wags into your home. When you see him at the kennel he gets very excited to get out, but I would guess his personality would be much more couch potato in the home environment. He calms down much quicker than all the other dogs once he is out and just wants affection. I'm guessing from my fostering experience, he will be very trustworthy in the home when parents are away. I don't think he has met a person he doesn't like, but he would be a good watch dog. As for his compatibility with cats, Chance would rather only share his home with another dog/dogs and his humans. No cats or small animals. Rest easy knowing that Chance is already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccines, ensuring a healthy and happy future together. The only thing missing is his forever family! Don't miss the chance to give Chance a chance – he's ready to steal your heart and become your loyal companion. To set up a meet and greet with this sweet pup in Mesa, Arizona, reach out to Paula at spwheels1@gmail.com. The adoption fee for Chance is $250.00, a small price for a lifetime of love and joy. Act now, and let the tail-wagging adventures begin!

Story
Hannah has been the most lovable mom and created such beautiful babies, but her puppies have left the nest, and it’s time for her to be back in the spotlight! She’s estimated to be about 4 years old, possibly a lab staffy mix, and she is known for being a complete Velcro dog? What does this mean? She is looking for a home where she will be cherished and invited and included in just about every conversation. She loves to stare into your eyes, as if she’s testing to see if you love her. She’s the kind of dog who is loyal and loves with her whole heart, and will do anything to make her people happy. She wags her tail the second she thinks you’re talking about or to her, and is evidently overjoyed once she is invited to come sit with you. A couple things to note: Hannah has not been around any small children. She met several kids around 7 or older and did great! But, she does startle with younger kids, so may be best suited for a home that is past the toddler stage. Hannah was briefly introduced to a cat from a distance, and her curiosity was intense enough that we would not place her in a home with a cat, even though she may have just been wanting to meet the kitty. We didn’t take our chances. Now the tough one… Hannah has only just been assessed with dogs, and she was non reactive on a least in the vicinity. But, once a dog got a little closer to her “bubble” she was evidently not comfortable. For this reason, as we continue to work with her, we would only be comfortable with dogs her size or bigger in a home that is able to quarantine and do very slow introductions. She very well may do great and would LOVE to have someone to play with, but we can tell she will need time to let her guard down. She is so loving and a good dog. She loves going on car rides. She has been anxious and on high alert on her walks recently, but we try and go daily to just get her used to it. At home she is wonderful. She loves to sit in the backyard and sunbathe and loves to play with all her toys. She was found as a stray, pregnant and ready to pop, so no doubt she is a little cautious and protective, just not knowing what she has been through. We know she had a home at one time because she knows sit and how to fetch, and loves her humans. She is now ready to find someone who will cherish her quirky little perked up ears, her tendency to lounge like a lazy fool, and her sweet asks for affection and attention. Are you looking for a sweetheart to love and love you back fiercely? Hannah’s your girl! https://forms.gle/676xUcmeQi9kdjn96

Adopt Jude! 🐾💙 Meet Jude, a sweet and lovable pup who has just joined the LCDR family! Along with his siblings, Nannas and Gene, Jude is named after some of Chicago’s best hotdog spots 🌭. This adorable pit mix was born on September 10, 2024, and is already stealing hearts. 😍 Jude is a true snuggle bug! 🥰 He loves nothing more than curling up in your lap and being held for hours. He’s also making great progress with house training 🚽 and is learning how to use the doggie door 🚪. Despite being a puppy, Jude is impressively well-behaved! 🙌 More information: - Loves ice and absolutely loves water! He will play in water any chance he gets. He flips over his water dish and plays in it all the time. - His whole body wiggles when his tail is going. He’s a happy boy for sure! - Loves attention and will paw at you to play. - Likes to play chase with the other dogs and will even run in circles chasing his own tail. - Crate trained - Fully potty trained - Still working on sitting - Rides well in the car with no problem - Sleeps through the night with no accidents. - Does really well with kids as little as 1 years old and 2 years old. He does not jump or knock them over. - Gets along great with our cat. Doesn’t bother her at all. - Snuggles up when you’re holding him and gives kisses. He will stay calmly in your arms while being held. - He does need chew toys for sure and things to keep him busy so he doesn’t dig in the yard. - He is food aggressive with his dog food at feeding time towards the other dogs but not when we give out treats to all the dogs. We do feed him separately because of his food aggression. More information: Meet Jude! Born 9/12/2024, Jude is a lovable and playful Lab Mix from the Chicago Litter.
