**Zephyr is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**Age: 1 yearWeight: 32.1 kg / 71 lbA bit about Zephyr:- unknown history with children; supervised interactions recommended- no cats or small animals (history of prey drive)- potential for select dog in home pending successful introduction- potential for separation or confinement related stressHere to bring forth a new source of love and excitement, meet Zephyr! Zephyr had a rough start to life and is looking for a family that can help him work on confidence! New people and places can be overwhelming for him and he doesn`t always know how to respond. He`d thrive with a supportive human that he can trust to keep him safe. When comfortable, Zephyr becomes a bouncy, playful, and affectionate lad! He much prefers to snuggle up to his humans and join you for hikes and adventures! Zephyr is an active boy who will benefit from plenty of exercise as well as calm enrichment like puzzle feeders or chew toys to help him regulate his energy. Zephyr has also shown some stress in situations where he needs to be left alone in his crate, so his ideal family would be prepared to work with him on comfort with absences. Although Zephyr has some extra needs to help him thrive, he promises to fill your days with love and keep you endlessly amused with his happy zoomies and games of fetch where he throws AND catches! Come by CHS to meet this boy today!

Delia will receive a free session of Reactive Rover with adoption!**Delia is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**Age: 2 yearsWeight: 23.5 kg / 51.8 lbsA little bit about Delia: - children okay, older recommended due to lack of manners - cats / small animals unknown; introductions should be slow and supervised over multiple sessions - only dog in home, due to demonstrated dog reactivityWagging her way into your heart and hopefully home, say hello to Delia! She`s a friendly and outgoing dog who loves to meet everyone but still jumps up to say hello. That`s why the ideal family for her would be without little kids and have an abundance of patience to help teach her proper doggy manners. Delia is also a pretty energetic gal and would love going on lots of adventures, hikes, you name it! Just remember that mental enrichment is just as important as physical enrichment, so make sure to offer lots of interactive toys and puzzle feeders, too! This slightly mischievous, toy-loving girl, will be happy to help you sniff out any toys or treats you may have lost in your home. Delia is more of a people pooch and is looking for a home without dogs, but she has potential to co-exist with cats if there are slow, supervised introductions. That`s all for Delia, but if you want to learn more, then make an appointment or come say hello today!

**Heinz is a Patient Paw, who has been available for adoption since October 8, 2024. Please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**Age: 1 yearWeight: 34.5kg / 76.1lbsA little bit about Heinz: - kids unknown, older recommended due to over-arousal, jumping, mouthing - cats / small animals unknown - dogs unknown, potential for dog in home pending successful dog-to-dogIf you`re looking for a high-energy dog to join you on adventures, then the friendly and outgoing Heinz may be the one for you! Even though he was found as a stray, he`s remarkably social. There`s nothing he loves more than playtime and fetch! But like his name sake, Heinz is full of beans; he tends to get overstimulated easily which sometimes ends with him mouthing or jumping all over his people. Heinz`s ideal home should be prepared to help him learn better doggy manners with proper training and patience. Luckily he`s a very smart, treat-motivated boy! There`s not a lot known about his history so it`s unclear how Heinz would do in a home with other animals, so slow and proper introductions are a must! But we are offering 3 free consults with our Behaviour team to help him settle into a new home. He`s waiting as patiently as he can for you to come and take him, so don`t delay and see Heinz today!

**Veronika is a Patient Paw, who has been available for adoption since October 9, 2024. Please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**Age: 1 yearWeight: 35 kgA bit about me:- unknown history with children; all interactions should be supervised- unknown history with cats; multiple, slow, supervised intros recommended- unknown history with dogs; okay pending successful introduction- can be nervous and slow to warm up to new peopleSweet Veronika is here to say hi! Found as a stray along the highway, this lady was terrified on arrival and wedged herself under the dog bed in her kennel. Our staff knew there was a sweetie under the fear and with gentle voices and treats, we set out to help her feel safe. With patience, Veronika has built friendships with several of our staff, and once she feels comfortable, Miss Veronika is a very affectionate and cuddly lady who will be sure to come nudge you with her nose for pets. Veronika is still quite young, so she`ll enjoy a home where she can get daily exercise and try new games and activities. Veronika is still working on her confidence building - fast movements and loud noises can be a lot - so a home that can build a routine and allow her to gain confidence at her own pace would be ideal. We do not know Veronika`s history with other animals or children; to help Veronika feel safe in her new home, all human and furry household members should be able to respect this girl`s space. We are offering 3 free post-adoption consults to help Veronika settle into a new home. If you are ready to fall in love with the sweetest girl, come visit today.

Story
Name: Wisteria (Crayola Crayons) Gender: Female Age: June 18, 2023 Approx.size/weight when full grown: 50-80 lbs Breed: Pitbull Lab Mix History: Wisteria is an energetic and curious girl. She is an eager participant in classes and steadily working on her manners such as loose leash walking and not being so easily distracted by things in her environment. She is still a young pup so consistency will be key. It will also be important for her to have a balance of both mental and physical stimlation to be her most calm and happy self.  Wisteria is an excellent and relaxed passenger in the car, snoozing away or quietly looking at the world go past the window. She is a very quick learner and is gentle taking treats. She has a playful nature and a strong desire to interact with other dogs. When over stimulated she can be mouthy but responds well to redirection. Overall a very happy and loving girl.
