Story
4 year old Trini is a shelter sweetheart, with a lovely disposition, and very popular with the volunteers, as she is a calming influence. Trini was abandoned on a road near the SPCA PV sanctuary and was lucky to be taken into care as she was malnourished, and surely tired from trying to survive. She is a mixed breed – our guess is lab shepherd cross, with a beautiful lean physique and expressive eyes. She is full grown at 41 lbs. Trini is a wise girl, who reads people and dogs well. If they seem threatening, she avoids them, but if welcoming, she approaching with kindness. Trini is also good with cats showing a similar wise approach when she was tested. She would ignore them in a non threatening way, and then explore smelling them when it felt safe. Trini is also good in the car, curious about the adventure, and she has been a shelter ambassador at a Saturday market. Trini is healthy, spayed and vaccinated and looking for a better life with a family who will love her. Trini is in care at the sanctuary in Mexico but has flight options to Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, or Seattle. This girl is a gem!

Story
Hi I'm AceI'm about a year old and a very sweet boy. I was brought in as a stray with my buddy Duke. I'm like a bouncy puppy in a big dog's body. I love people and have been good with other dogs. Honestly, I love everything. Except cats. They definitely aren't my favorite. I love my best bud, Duke. I follow him everywhere. We love to play and hang out together. I love, love, love my toys and people. Love the people.I'm still young so very much a puppy with some learning to do. I appear to be house trained. I do okay in a crate but don't love it. I'm a bit of an orangutang on a leash but I'm working on it and I'm a smart boy so will figure it out. I am after all just young and nobody has shown me what a leash is. I love people so much I like to come at you at 100 km/hr so for this reason small children may not be best. I do give kisses and have a heart that would love them though. With time I will be okay. I would definitely do best with another canine companion to play with and keep me entertained. If you think we would be a match I would love to meet you. Please fill out an application.

Story
Hi everyone, I'm Stuart, but my friends call me Stewie! I'm a happy-go-lucky pup that's ready to steal your heart! I start my day with the biggest stretches and ready for a snuggle. I love affection, so I'm looking for someone who can spend lots of time with me. I love to go for walks to explore, play in the backyard and meet new people. Once I get to know kids and other dogs, I'm great with them. I'm curious about cats, and I wish they'd play with me. My manners are top-notch and I'm super trainable. I'm fully crate and potty-trained. The vet can't quite tell what breeds I am, but know that I'm a good boy who's going to keep growing! If you're looking for a family member that is very loving and full of energy, please adopt me. I promise to be the "goodest" boy in your neighborhood.

Story
EHS volunteer comment: "Heidi is a very beautiful dog. She's excited in the kennel, but doesn't jump and is pretty good on the leash. I've gotten lucky to walk her twice now and she's so great! Love her!"Heidi is a gorgeous German Shorthaired Pointer with a heart full of love. She is a true car ride enthusiast and will be your perfect road trip companion. While she may be a bit shy in the shelter, once she's out and about, her calm, social nature truly shines. Heidi adores walks and exploring the great outdoors. With her keen hunting instincts, she's always on the lookout for birds, happily pointing them out to you. Heidi would love to find a home with a canine sibling who enjoys the thrill of chase-style play just as much as she does. This gal arrived to shelter with a cherry eye which has been surgically repaired, helping her feel her absolute best! If you're looking for a loyal, active friend who will keep you company on all your adventures, Heidi is the perfect match!
