Story
Tangyi is a calm and gentle soul who gets along wonderfully in group settings with other dogs. Even when other dogs act provocatively, Tangyi avoids conflict and displays submissive behavior, showcasing her mild and peaceful temperament. While she may initially feel timid around strangers who approach her suddenly, she quickly warms up and reveals her affectionate and well-mannered nature once she gets to know them. Tangyi’s slightly reserved personality is balanced by her strong attachment to her owner. This bond can sometimes lead to signs of separation anxiety, so she would thrive in a home where her family can provide her with the love and attention she needs. She shows no particular interest in cats and does not chase them, making her a great fit for households with feline friends. On walks, Tangyi has excellent leash manners and enjoys exploring the world at a relaxed pace. She is also comfortable riding in vehicles, which makes traveling with her a breeze. Given her shy nature, Tangyi will need some time and patience to adjust to a new home and family. During this period, allowing her to settle in and feel secure will help her blossom into the perfect companion. Although Tangyi is currently doing well with walks in her foster home, she may feel startled in unfamiliar environments. For her safety, we recommend using a double leash during walks until she feels more confident. Tangyi is likely to adapt well to a multi-dog household. In fact, having a dog sibling could help ease her separation anxiety. Her calm and well-mannered personality makes her an ideal addition to a harmonious family with other pets. Tangyi is ready to bring love and serenity to a new home. We’re so excited to see her thrive in her forever family! Story
Young Rudy, born Feb 2024 was found one morning as a very young puppy buried in dirt near the shelter. He was taken into the SPCA PV sanctuary, and they learned that he was buried to soothe burns on his back where he now has a scar. He currently weighs approximately 40 lbs, we think he’ll grow to be about 50-55 lbs. He was lucky that one of our sweet mamma pups Keisha took him under her wing to give him the love he should still get as a young pup. He’s a playful boy that would love a yard and adventures, and maybe even a welcoming dog friend. He has been good with cats (though exposure is limited) and we have a video we can share. Rudy is healthy and ready to fly. He is currently at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico, and will be able to fly to Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton (possibly also Vancouver island). If you think you might be the lucky home for him, write us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, or go direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw

Personality Overview: – Shy but Sweet: Morning may be a bit timid when you first meet her, but with a little patience (and maybe a tasty snack), she’ll quickly warm up to you. Once she’s comfortable, she loves to show her belly for rubs! 🥰 – Dog-Friendly: Morning is great at greeting other dogs, particularly those of a similar size or smaller. She’s generally friendly but prefers to avoid confrontation, even if another dog tries to provoke her. 🐕 – Focuses on Her Person: During walks, Morning is more interested in sticking close to her person than chasing after cats. 🐾 – Loves the Outdoors: She enjoys outdoor activities and has a normal energy level. After a day of fun, she’s happy to relax quietly at home. 😌 – Still Learning: Morning is working on her leash manners. She may pull a bit, but with ongoing training, she’s making great progress! 🚶‍♂️ – No Guarding Issues: Morning is easygoing with her food, showing no guarding behavior towards people or other dogs. 🥣 – Car Ride Caution: Morning is a bit fearful of getting into the car and might need a little help lifting in, but once she’s settled, she’s ready for the journey. 🚗 – Flexible with Potty Needs: Morning is adaptable with her bathroom habits, using both indoor pads and going outside as needed. 🚽 Why Adopt Morning? 🐾 Hi there, I’m Spring! 🐾
A Little About Me: Hey! I’m Spring, a 7-year-old Retriever/Jindo mix with a beautiful cream coat. I weigh 24 kg and I’m all fixed up and ready to find my forever home. 🏡💕
My Journey: I had an owner once, but due to some unfortunate events, I ended up in a shelter. My owner couldn’t come back for me, but I’ve always kept my kind and gentle spirit. 🐶💕

What Makes Me Special:
• Affectionate: I love to snuggle and rub against people, whether they’re old friends or new faces. I’m super easy to touch and adore cuddles. 🤗
• Kid-Friendly: I have a soft spot for kids under 13 and take snacks from them gently. 🍪
• Liftable: You can easily lift me by putting your arm under my belly. 🐾
• Belly Show: I even show my belly to people I meet for the first time! 🐕
• Dog-Friendly: I greet and play with both familiar and new dogs. 🐶
• Cat-Indifferent: Cats? They don’t bother me, but I might be a little scared of them. 🐱
• Calm: I like to rest calmly and have a low energy level. 💤
• Leash Walker: I have plenty of walking experience and follow people well without pulling. 🐾
• Food Sharing: I don’t guard my food and am calm around other dogs. 🍲
• Quiet: I hardly ever bark and am calm in a kennel. 💤
• House-Trained: I usually do my business outside. 🚽

Fun Facts About Me:
• I’m a big dog with a gentle personality. 🐕
• I love snacks and am very food-motivated. 🍪
• I walk really well and love anyone, even strangers. 🐾
• I need continuous ear care, but I’m not hard to control. 🥰
• Families with older members can be a great fit for me. 👵👴
Why You Should Choose Me: I’m looking for a loving home where I can share my gentle and playful spirit. I promise to be a loyal and loving companion. Could you be the one to give me my forever home? 🏡💕
Love, Spring 🐾💖

Story
I’m Becky, a 5-year-old female Labrador Retriever looking for my forever home. I’ve had a bit of a rough start, being abandoned near a rural chicken coop, but thanks to some kind souls, I’ve been rescued. I’m a social butterfly with a heart as big as my paws. It doesn’t take me long to warm up to new people—I’ll be nudging you for pets and belly rubs in no time. I get along great with other dogs, always up for a playdate and ready to make new friends. However, I do have a bit of a protective soul, so if another dog challenges me, I might stand my ground. Just something to keep in mind. I’m well-behaved on walks, although I might need a gentle reminder not to pull too hard on the leash. When it comes to strangers, I’ll give a little bark to let you know someone’s approaching, but I’m calm and collected in my kennel. I’m an outdoor enthusiast when it comes to bathroom breaks—I prefer the great outdoors for that. And did I mention how smart I am? I’ve mastered basic commands like sit, paw, and stay. I might not guard my food, but if another dog tries to sneak a nibble, I’ll definitely let out a warning growl. So, what do you say? Are you ready for a lifetime of tail wags, paw prints, and unconditional love? If you think we could be the perfect match, come meet me! I can’t wait to bring joy and companionship to your home. Story
🐶 Quick Facts! • Name: Mamba • Age: 2 years old • Gender: Female • Neutered: Yes • Breed: Labrador mix • Colour: Black • Weight: 22kg 🌱All about me🐕 Hello guys. I’m Mamba. I am a 2 year old Labrador mix girl, looking for my forever home. I am covered in a sleek black coat, which really makes me stand out. I might seem a bit shy at first but give me some time. Once I get to know you, I will let you pet me and rub my belly. By the way, if you have some treats with you, that will make things little easier because I really like to eat! I have not had many adventures in the outside world and loud noises can be a bit overwhelming for me. But no worries. I am currently getting my training, and I hope it gets better. With time and patience, I will learn to get less sensitive to noises. During walks, I may pull my leash a bit due to excitement, but I am generally responsive to my human’s guidance. After a good walk, I settle down nicely on a couch or in my crate. Speaking of which, I am a well-behaved girl even inside my crate. I usually get along with other furry friends whether they are about my size or smaller than me. The heart is what really matters! If I find them to be my friends, I will get along well. If someone tries to challenge me, I will step back and walk away. Although I usually get along with other friends, I get little overwhelmed when they become too energetic. Regarding my potty habits, I use both indoors and outdoors. Whether you live in a high-rise or low-rise, you will not need to worry about it as I have got it all covered. Cats? I do not mind them, but I focus on my humans instead. I do not guard my food against humans and other furry friends. Despite my young age, my energy level is not very high, but I still enjoy my outdoor adventures and activities. Visiting a dog park is also a great idea as I can run freely. I may seem to be a bit shy in the beginning. But once my initial shyness fades away, I am confident that I will be a perfect canine friend who will warm your heart with joy and happiness. For details, please reach out to my team and they will be more than happy to assist you! 💛 For more videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aa4UUrmvSDs&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JwHBnPF_KsehZgU-TysGeyW

Story
Age: 3 years oldWeight: 21.4kg / 47lbsA bit about June:- no cats/ small animals in home due to prey drive- has lived with a dog; dogs okay pending successful intro- has lived children successfully; all interactions should be supervisedAfter an injury, beautiful June came to our shelter for help. Although June`s leg ended up being amputated, this sweet girl`s spirit is intact. June is friendly, listens well, and loves to meet new people. Our shelter staff are falling in love as she makes an incredible recovery and addition to our shelter family with her gentle and loving nature. Despite her recent amputation, June is already showing us how resilient she is. She enjoys calm, cozy moments and loves to nap near her people, soaking in the comfort of their presence.June has lived with children before and may thrive in a home with human siblings or even a dog companion to share her journey. She`s not a fan of elevators at the moment, so our staff has been carrying her up the stairs while she heals—she’s been such a trooper through it all!Due to her high prey drive, June will need a home without cats or small animals. While she’s currently calm as she recovers, we anticipate her energetic, playful side will shine through as she gets back to full strength. If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient companion who will be a loyal friend, June might just be your perfect match!
