Good with kids,
Story
He is extremely sweet and cuddly! He needs training on not jumping, wearing a leash, etc. but has a super sweet disposition. He was in a home with a small child and did great with him. Unfortunately his owners could not provide a safe home for him, but they were very sad to see him go. My husband brought him home in lieu of them dumping him somewhere or worse.

She was born 9-11-20 and weighs 55 lbs. very gentle and sweet. Good with other dogs, curious about cats. Has not been around children. She is laid back and gentle. Is very skittish when meeting new people and warms up quickly when she decides someone is safe. Loves to go on walks. Will need a fenced yard. She is in the house at night and in the yard some during the day. Feel free to call me if you have questions.

Story
My sister, Lilly and I love water, any water, a lake, pond, stream, puddle, baby pool, you name it. We love our human friends, but don't get along as well with small animals, as we are hunters and tend to regard them as something to be hunted. Our preference is to land in the lap of luxury, to be pampered, with someone at our beck and call. But will settle for your love.

Story
Say hello to Shadow, a 1 1/2-year-old male Lab/German Shepherd mix weighing around 55 pounds. He is house trained. Shadow is a very shy boy who has been with us at rescue since he was six months old. We asked a trainer for help with his shyness, and he had improved by leaps and bounds. He is more playful and confident. We're looking for a warm and caring family who will understand when he's timid and provide him with lots of love and reassurance. Shadow will benefit from a fenced-in yard. Though he's gentle natured and wouldn't hurt a fly, small children may startle him; therefore, a home with older children or adults only would be best. Shadow does well with other dogs and cats. His foster says of him, " Shadow K is an extraordinary dog, he just isn't yet sure how to show it. His heart is filled with love!" (Revision11/24/23, ME 10/7/23)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.November 1, 2024, 9:22 pm
