Story
Scout is a lovable dog. We found Scout outside of our church with no home and took him home until we could find him another home. He loves to cuddle but also one of the most content dogs. He loves to lay outside either sun bathing or feeling the cold wind. He will come inside and want to be petted. He is all about playing or laying around and chilling. He is one of the best dogs and we hate to rehome him but we never meant for it to be permanent. He will be your best friend, loves going on walks, play outside, and loves kids.

Story
*Meet Henley* Henley is a calm and gentle soul, neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He loves being petted but doesnt jump for attention, exuding a relaxed and affectionate demeanor. He excels at walking on a leash and enjoys being an indoor companion as well as spending time outdoors with people, whether on a leash or in a yard. Henley's rescue story began at a gas station where a now volunteer spotted him. She reports, "He approached me, but I noticed he was emaciated and had ticks. Initially thinking he was blind, I later discovered he wasnt. Despite my sisters dog not liking him, I couldnt leave him behind and took it upon myself to provide him with food and water. A police officer informed me that the pup had been roaming the area for two weeks and that hed been hit by a drunk driver recently, which explained his fear of cars. Over two emotional days, I couldnt shake the worry for his safety, especially with my own dogs intimidating him. After contacting numerous shelters and vets, only Summits responded. Once settled, he enjoyed a ride with me, filling my heart with joy. I cried when I left him, prompting me to volunteer and ensure he knew he was loved. Now, hes the sweetest boy and truly loves his car rides!"   Check out Henley's video: https://youtube.com/shorts/oli3B9JSHGA?si=iTIJGVUEl8RtBQLy   Adoption fee $200 (chipped, fixed, updated on shots) Please visit our website www.summitssanctuary.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

In very Lab fashion, Russ intends to be a puppy for many years to come. He deserves it, after a rough start in life. Now, he has developed many loves - loves people, loves treats, loves learning, loves squeaky toys! This youngster is learning his manners (he's a quick study) and looking forward to a fun family to continue his new, happy life! With other dogs, he is the geek who thinks he's cool - so he needs an easy-going dog who doesn't mind having a weird friend. He is not compatible with cats or small pets.   ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB:  Dec 2020 ~  Est weight:  55#  ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlNovember 1, 2024, 11:11 pm
