Hi! My name is Jaxson and I am an 8 month old black lab mix. A little bit about me: I love people and I love to play! My favorite treats are hotdogs and baked chicken. If you have either one of those, we are practically besties! I am very curious and like to see what you are up to all the time. More than anything, I want to please and learn. I am very adaptable even though I may be shy at the shelter when you first meet me. Give me a day and I will come right out of my shell. I just haven’t had a lot of adventures yet. I think I would really love adventures! I get along well with other dogs too. Just know that I am still a little clumsy and floppy so I might be a little much for small dogs. I haven’t met a cat but I did meet chickens and I let them do their own thing. I love to give you hugs! I heard everyone loves hugs! I would rather not be by myself for too long. I could deal with it if needed but I would do better with a friend or my special human. My babysitting mom said I was a little bit of a Velcro dog. Who knows what that means… I haven’t lived very long yet, but I know I need a few things. I need playtime! I also heard I need structure. I know that I need to poo outside and for the few walks I have taken, I stuck to my babysitter’s hip. I just got a little scared of the cars. Good news! I did well in a crate overnight and just whined a little. I don’t like to go in the crate (hotdogs…hint hint!) but once I am in there and I know you’ll let me out, I am okay. Last thing…I’m pretty quiet. I like to talk (whine) but I don’t yell (bark). I am a gentleman after all! So, if you love hugs, playtime, and feeling like you are a king/queen-give me a call and let’s set up a date!
