Story
I`m Daya, I came to HSMC as a stray. I was really scared and unsure of things, I didn`t understand why I was coming here and not going back home. Staff assured me it was okay and they would try to find my home. A lot of time went by, I kept waiting and my family never showed up. In the meantime, staff kept trying to make friends with me and I began to trust them. I`ve realized my family isn`t coming for me, so here I am, ready to find a new family to love me. I am an energetic and happy girl. I love my people once I get comfortable with them. I think I would prefer to be the only dog in the home. I might take some time to warm up, but I think in time we can become the best of friends.

Story
Junie here, where are my lab lovers? I will make sure to bathe you in my affection. If you don't like being licked, I'm not the dog for you. I will be the best snuggling, walking, and retrieving girl a person can have. My foster mom has told me about having my very own family that will adore me and love me as much as I love them. Can that dream really come true? You may have already heard my story about being found with Johnny and how it is believed that we were dumped. We waited in the same area for a week for our people to return, but that didn't happen. We were getting thin and really scared. We needed to be trapped so we could get the help we needed. After being trapped, things really started to look up.  I don't let my foster mom out of my sight for very long. She gives the best hugs and she scratches, feeds me, plays with me, and gives me those yummy treats.  I love being next to her.  All she has to do is call my name and I come running. She has found I'm a little shy around kids so older respectful kids would be best for me.   I really want to learn to live inside a home and a few basic obedience commands will be helpful.  Are you willing to help me with that? I am kennel trained and will go in when told.  It would be ideal for me to have a kennel in my new home so I can go chill when needed.   I'm a pretty easy going gal that is up for new adventures and I'm excited to see what the future holds. With that said, I really love Johnny, but I'm ready for us to go our separate ways and start fresh.   Are you ready to love me and see what an amazing dog I am? Story
Johnny here and ready to find a home where I can learn to be the bestest boy ever. I'm almost there, but I need some obedience training and work on my indoor manners.   I was found with Junie and it is believed that we were dumped. We waited in the same spot for a week for our people to return, but that didn't happen. We were getting thin and were really scared. We needed to be trapped so we could get the help we needed. After being trapped, things really started to look up.   Our Foster Mom is learning a little more about us each day. She said she has learned that I like other dogs and that I love to play.  I really enjoy finding things to fetch even if they are not my toys and exploring the yard.  That's where the training and patience comes in.  I do love to be by my people, butt scratches and walks.  A large yard for me to gallop around would be fantastic along with a lot of stuffed and chew toys.  Once I'm familiar with my boundaries, I'm good off leash. Typically, I come running when called.   My Foster Mom said I'm kennel trained and I just walk in when told to " kennel up".  She is also saying that when I'm adopted, you should plan to use a kennel for me until I can be trusted. I guess I like to chew things up and make a mess. Apparently, I'm a big boy, but act like a puppy.   I know Junie and I were found together, but I'm cool if we don't live together forever. I think my time with her has been great, but I feel it's time to find a home where they will give me a lot of love and attention.   Are you the family I'll spend the rest of my life with?
