Story
WINNIE IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED! Hi! My name is Winnie! I would love to meet you in person—that’s kind of my thing. But the internet is life these days, so I’ll give it a shot! I think life is an adventure, and I am excited about everything! My sister and my foster think I have too much energy, but I’m pretty sure that’s impossible. I love to walk, but I’d rather run. And I will play until the sun goes down, and then snuggle until we can play again. I have been fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. I weigh around 50 pounds. All I need is a forever home, and some love. And maybe some play time. Lots and lots of play time. Winnie, along with her sister, were found in rural Mississippi on August 10, 2022. At the time of her rescue, the vet estimated her to be about 6 months old. We picked February 25th to celebrate as her birthday, and she and her sister had a fun time celebrating their first. When we found Winnie, she had a broken leg. Her veterinarian says it has mended nicely, and seems to have left her without any ill effects. She also has a partially blue eye—we aren’t sure if it is congenital, or caused by the same injury that broke her leg. Winnie tries very hard to be good. As far as housebreaking goes, she is mostly there, and very well crate trained. She is also trained to sit, shake, and stay, though excitement tends to overcome her determination to listen. You can apply to adopt Winnie at www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net Her adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Winnie up north to her new family.
