Story
Dirk is a 4-year-old bundle of courage, joy, and love who has redefined what it means to thrive. His journey with us began when he came in with an injured leg. Despite our efforts to save it, the damage was too severe, and Dirk`s leg needed to be amputated to ensure the best quality of life for him. Since then, Dirk has shown us that three legs are more than enough for him to live his best life. This boy is unstoppable! He runs, he jumps, and he greets us every day with the most heartwarming hugs. His favorite thing in the world? Stuffed animals! Dirk always has one in his mouth and is happiest when he`s surrounded by his plushy collection. When he’s not showing off his playful side, you can find him curled up on the couch, living his best couch potato life. Dirk is loyal, loving, and ready to find his forever family, a family who will celebrate his resilience and spoil him with all the stuffed animals and cuddles he deserves. Dirk would do best as an only pet. To meet Dirk, please call 843-249-4948 to schedule an appointment, or you can submit an application at https://humanesocietynmb.org/dog-adoption-form/If you are interested in fostering Dirk, please submit a foster application at https://humanesocietynmb.org/be-a-foster-caregiver/

Story
Meet Molly! D.O.B. 1/6/22. Molly is a Lab/Schnauzer mix. She is mostly black with white markings. She weighs 62 lbs. She came to us as an owner surrender. She is a sweet girl who still has some puppy energy. She seems to get along with other animals. She does have anxiety so she needs someone who is patient and understanding with her, and someone who can spend a lot of time with her. She just wants to be by your side. She is currently in a foster home, please give us a call at 843-427-4388 to arrange a time to meet her. She has been spayed, dewormed, and vaccinated. You must be at least 23 years old to adopt. If you currently own dogs we require meet and greets at the shelter. Dog adoption fee includes spay/neutering, HW preventative and Flea treatments, and immunizations required based on age prior to adoption. Fees also include other medical and physical care provided while at the shelter.
