I’m still learning how to share—food and toys are my favorite things—so I’d do best with an experienced forever family who understands my boundaries and can help me continue my training.I also occasionally have seizures, but they don’t define me or slow down my joy for life. With a little care and attention, I do great and bring so much happiness to the people around me.Because I’ve had some trust issues in the past, it takes me a little time to feel safe with new people. I warm up beautifully, but I’ll need multiple visits so we can build a bond at my pace. Once I decide you’re my person, I’m loyal, loving, and all-in.I may be a big guy, but that just means there’s more of me to love. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion with tons of personality—and you’re willing to take the time to earn my trust—I might just be your perfect match!My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. He gets along wonderfully with children—especially toddlers—and greets women and familiar people with excitement and warmth.With unfamiliar men, new environments, and busy outdoor settings, Charlie can be cautious, but with gentle reassurance he gains confidence. He walks on a leash, takes treats easily, and loves attention and companionship.He is crate trained and still learning consistency, especially when he knows someone is home and would rather be with them. At mealtimes he gets excited and may try to take another dog’s food, so separate feeding works best.Charlie is a sweet, loving companion who will thrive with a patient adopter ready to continue helping him build confidence.
