Story
NEED TO REHOME A SWEETHEART OF A DOG -I've been fostering Harper for about a year (bc she was very shy at first), She's a really sweet mixed-breed dog who gets along well w/ other dogs and adults. She's a bit shy at first when she meets people, but she'd probably do fine w/ older children after she gets to know them. Younger kids might take longer. -She's completely house-trained & is a perfect lady inside. Our problem is that, while we have another dog, Heidi was raised in a cage at a puppy mill & just honestly doesn't know how to play. Harper desperately wants & needs another dog to play w/, especially outside. She's very smart but has no interest in fetching a ball or stick, although she's ecstatic when I go out in the backyard w her & jumps around & play bows. Unfortunately, I'm not a dog.🙁 -I just don't think she's living her best life w me, & I want to find her a loving home w another dog where she can really enjoy herself after such a bad start in life. Are you that home?

Story
Hi, my name is Cash!I’m a big, goofy, sweet-hearted boy who loves to play and make my people laugh. I’ve got a silly personality and a whole lot of love to give! I’m still learning how to share—food and toys are my favorite things—so I’d do best with an experienced forever family who understands my boundaries and can help me continue my training.I also occasionally have seizures, but they don’t define me or slow down my joy for life. With a little care and attention, I do great and bring so much happiness to the people around me.Because I’ve had some trust issues in the past, it takes me a little time to feel safe with new people. I warm up beautifully, but I’ll need multiple visits so we can build a bond at my pace. Once I decide you’re my person, I’m loyal, loving, and all-in.I may be a big guy, but that just means there’s more of me to love. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion with tons of personality—and you’re willing to take the time to earn my trust—I might just be your perfect match! My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.

Story
Meet Bruce — a loyal, goofy, and affectionate boy who just needs the right person to help him shine. With the people he loves, Bruce is all about snuggles, cheese, and playtime—fetch, tug, and a good game of chase are his absolute favorites. He’s also super smart and loves puzzles that challenge his brain!Bruce is looking for a very special, patient home. He does not like strangers or other dogs, so he must be the only pet in an adult-only home. He needs someone who will take the time to earn his trust—and once you do, you`ll have a loyal shadow who insists on cuddles and attention. He gets sad when left alone, so his ideal person works from home or has a flexible schedule to visit him during the day. Recently, Bruce has shown signs of progress after shutting down emotionally for several weeks. He’s begun reconnecting with his human friends—even hopping into a trusted staff member’s lap again.Bruce is a work in progress, but with the right match, he’ll thrive. If you`re experienced, patient, and looking for a deep bond with a dog who just needs a chance, Bruce might be your perfect companion. My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention.
