Story
We are Coco (labradoodle) and Reese (doxipoo). We are five years old, spayed and up to date on all shots. We take heartgaurd and Nexgaurd every month. Coco is medicated for anxiety and allergies and requires sensitive purina food. Reese doesn't need any additional medication and eats the same food as Coco. These girls LOVE each other. It would not be in their best interest to separate them, so we are looking for a family that will love both. They are crate trained in one large crate together, they do not like to be separated in crates. They are house trained. Coco has never had an accident inside since being trained. Reese however, in true dachshund form, can be spiteful. If she isn't getting enough attention, she will potty inside. She was mostly accident free when we had 3 older children. Now that we have added a baby, and she is getting less attention, she is having more accidents than usual. Otherwise, these two are the sweetest loving girls who deserve more time and attention.

Story
Liesel is a sweet girl with loads of energy. She likes walks, but needs a fenced yard to run and fetch as well. She is dog reactive and when she came to us we were told she does not like other dogs, but that isn't true. She is just dog selective and has spent time with six different dogs while in our care and has done very well. Introducing the dogs in a proper manner is crucial to successfully getting Liesel to accept a new canine friend. She gets very excited when you first come home or greet her and will tend to jump to say HI, but once things get calm, she calms down as well. She has had some training sessions with 3 different trainers and knows some commands. Liesel has calmed down slightly since coming to us, but she will always be a bit high strung and her adopter must understand and accept that. it is just part of who she is. Liesel loves people, both children and adults, and just needs someone to love her for the dog she is. She wants to please and will be loyal and loving forever, if given the chance..

Meet Lady! She is 6 1/2 and would love to spend her golden years in a home! She is very easygoing and friendly but does take a while to warm up to new people. She is affectionate and intelligent and knows some commands. She is pretty quiet and reserved at the shelter and a loving home would work wonders for her. Lady would do just fine in a home with kids! Story
Meet Lizzy - our longest term resident! Lizzy is a beautiful dog. She does a cute little happy dance when you walk by her kennel. She wiggles and toes taps and puts on a big smile. Lizzy is around eight years old. She came to us as a stray and we don’t have any background info on her, but she seems perfectly happy and easygoing and is SO ready to find a home. Lizzy is getting overwhelmed with kennel life and living with so many other dogs, and will need a meet and greet with any dogs in the home. She gets fixated on cats and will need a home without them. Lizzy seems to enjoy kids and we think she would do just fine in a home with children. Lizzy has lost out on a year of her life and deserves a future.

Story
Say hi to Nick! Nick is one of our “longterm residents”, meaning he has been waiting for a home for six months or longer. Nick would make an outstanding companion for somebody willing to work with him a little bit. Nick is obsessed with moving vehicles, and will chase after them. We wouldn’t be surprised if somebody dumped him out of a moving vehicle, or if he took off after one and never found his way back home, as he was picked up as a stray. We think Nick is 1 1/2 - 2 years old. He is a perfect medium size, and although he weighs 50 lbs, he’s compact and fits in our small dog kennels. Nick loves attention and crawling into your lap and getting as close to you as possible. He seems genuine and kindhearted, and it’s difficult to see such a nice dog waste his life in a kennel. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting Nick, please let us know! Any kids or dogs in the home will need to come meet him. We can cat test if needed.
