Story
To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Breezy is a kind and gentle soul who's not quite sure what to make of the big world, but she's willing to try this "go for a walk" thing if that's what her foster wants to do. She's somewhere around 4 years old and 45lbs, she's quiet and non-destructive, housebroken, crate trained and very, very chill. She gets along with other dogs, has been kind to the kids she's met, and would probably be fine with a cat, but we'd need to test to be sure. Breezy landed at the shelter with her grown daughter, they were both terrified and had very likely never left the yard of wherever they came from until they were dropped off. We're guessing Breezy as a retriever and hunting dog mix of some kind, though truthfully the only thing she's shown any interest in hunting is a cozy spot on the couch. Breezy would love to find some people who need a dog to lay by the fire or cozy up to with a good book. She's going to hold her cards close when she meets you, but once she feel safe and opens up she's an absolute love. Our foster asked us for easy and chill this time, Breezy checks those boxes completely. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate dog who doesn't ask for much out of life, Breezy may be the girl for you. Visit southofthebully.com and fill out an adoption application, we can't wait to see who gets to take home this lovely gal.Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. November 15, 2024, 12:22 am

Story
This handsome bobtailed boy is called Stevie, short for Steve Cropper.  He was found on a very hot and dry August day the first of August and honestly he was near death from lack of food and water.  The asphalt was treacherously hot and his body was not holding up in all the 100+ degree heat.   A kind soul who is in the music industry took him home but honestly could not house him for more than a few days due to heavy travel and being on the road with his music obligations.  Some people told him to do just take him to a shelter (they are full) and lie about him trying to bite a child.  That way they would take him and put him to sleep for safety of the community.  This could not have been the fartherest thing from the truth.  A wonderful foster for Critter Cavalry was contacted and she absolutely jumped at the chance to help Stevie.   No regrets for one minute that she did either.  He is a wonderful  1 year, 50 pound boy that is  Lab/Aussie/Pit mix and possesses the most caring heart and kindest spirit.  He plays with everyone at the doggie daycare and wags that nub of a tail as fast as he can wag it when greeting people.  He is a dog that didn’t deserve to be euthanized when all the options were not exhausted.  We know that this smart and playful boy will be some family’s prized possession and love.  He is housetrained it seems and he is crate trained as well.  He is respectful of other dogs and their space and not once ounce of bad traits exist in this boy.  Step right up and let’s consider Stevie for your family or just you if you are single.  Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm
