Hi humans, Lola here. I'm a super sweet gal looking to be your new best friend. The shelter thinks I'm about five years old, which means I've had time to learn important dog things like how to sit and walk nicely on a leash. I'm a Lab/Newfie mix, so I really hit the doggo lottery in both looks and personality. I've got an adorable fluffy black coat (with some gray flecks in my face that just make me look more distinguished) and warm brown eyes. More importantly, I'm affectionate, loyal and adaptable. I've shown that I'm very polite and patient here at the shelter, both with other dogs and smaller humans. I think I'd be a great companion for any type of family. Hi, humans - Twix here. Just like the candy bar, I have a chocolate exterior, and I'm very sweet inside. You'll wish there were two of me :) I'm very affectionate, and one of my favorite things to do on my walks is lead my human over to a bench where we can snuggle up for a bit. I like to say "hi" to all my friends who pass by, and everyone knows who I am because I always have my right ear up. I'm told it's adorable. I'm about a year old, so young enough that I still enjoy zooming around the park here at the shelter and playing with toys - rope toys are my fave! - but old enough to know how to "sit" and take treats very gently from your hand. Being a young gal who's spent my life in a shelter, I can be a little unsure about other dogs sometimes and can get very excited when I meet new human friends, sometimes jumping up to give kisses and licks. So if you have little kiddos or doggos at home, please bring them by to meet me. I can't wait to see you! A team member adds, "Twix is such a pretty and sweet girl. Her amber eyes are very striking against her chocolatey coat. She's easy to walk - she's still a puppy, really, and if she jumps up, it's always to show affection. She'll proactively 'sit' - sometimes to ask for a treat, sometimes just to have you sit down beside her so she can snuggle you and give some kisses." Another team member says, "I always love spending time with Twix - she's easy to harness and walk, and our time together is a really nice mix of playing in the park, doing a few laps and plenty of snuggles."

I’m the very best of all things Lab. From golden soft fur that blends to caramel on my ears, to my soul-searching glowing, amber eyes that love to gaze up at yours to be sure you’re OK. I walk nicely on leash and do tricks for a bit of cheese, but need to watch my weight a bit. Walks, hikes and ball chasing are my favorite exercises. I’m so excited to see people, I almost wagged my tail off. I’m a bit selective in my doggo friends. I’d be fine with just you or bring your fluff buds in for a meet-n-greet. Can’t wait to show you my snuggle talent. Team Member notes: “Hey, there’s an angel on his chest. What a nice pup!”
