Story

What a young and silly boy sporting a wiry goatee! Tucker is a 2 year old Labradoodle and he is looking for his new family. He has traded in outdoor farm life for indoor living and thinks it is really swell. Initially he is a little hesitant about meeting new people, but a treat in hand helps him forget his fear and he is happy to meet new people. He fostered in a home with multiple dogs, but we have found that when he is one of two dogs, he tries to protect his new family from the other dog so we prefer to place him in an only dog home. He is hesitant about getting in a car, but once he is in, he is a great rider and seems to enjoy it. He is a very large boy and currently weighs 70#s He is very happy to hang around the house and get pets or to go out in the fenced yard and poke around while is foster mom does yard work. While we are not up to speed on all of the nomenclature for doodles, we do know his mother was the lab and his father was the poodle. His hair is actually great as it is wavy and wiry, but not the grooming nightmare of most doodles. If you have an active family and are looking for a doodle with a great personality that does not have the crazy grooming needs of the curly coats, Tucker may be just the guy for you. Meet Bingo! This handsome little man is a 7 months old male Labradoodle mix. He is super friendly and loves just about everyone and everything he meets. He loves to snuggle and wants to be with you at all times. He never turns down a good belly rub. He loves to play and is full of puppy energy. He would make a great addition to a family with an active lifestyle! He is currently located down South at our sister shelters and available for pre-adoption. We do transports to NJ once a month. He can't wait to find his forever home!

Ember is a very energetic and fun medium sized pup (55lbs). She's young (1-2yrs) and vibrant and looking for a home where she can participate in family activities like hikes and walks and Netflix nights. She's as good of a snuggler as she is a jogging companion. Her fur is soft and fluffy and she is lower shedding but we CANNOT guarantee hypoallergenic. She is strong and requires a fit owner who can handle a large and active pup. She did have some matting that resulted in dry skin (hence the shaved spot) that was exmained by a vet who performed a skin scraping to ensure there was no mange or underlying condition (test results were negative). She should be kept on a high quality kibble with fish oil supplements. Ember is located in Houston TX and can be picked up there or we can discuss transport options. Her fee is $850. Housetrained and well behaved, they are super delicious in every way. LOVE kids, LOVE other friendly dogs, although Oreo can be dominant so might be better as an only dog, tested fine with cats - and love to be snuggled and pampered while giving u sooo much love back. They are both just a great match for any family looking for this breed. Sophie is more gentle laid back and independent, while Oreo - who we believe is still a big puppy - is more active and would not do good alone all day as she is very attached to being social. Both great on a leash and LOVE TO PLAY SNUGGLE and just be amazing! Bought from a breeder and lived with one family - sadly their owner was arrested and they were left uncared for so we had to get them groomed and back to better health - which was easy since they are just the nicest girls! They had no choice but to ask for our help and of course we wanted to find them the BEST family as these two are better than the best!! Ideal family would be one that knows this breed mix and knows that rescue dogs might need some time to adjust and have time to be active with them on a daily basis. They are both incredibly smart and have that doodle lovable nature while also having no aggression issues or residual trauma from their past. Oreo is a tripod. And WOW what a tripod! Don't think she's at all debilitated - she can even go jogging! But she has a lot of energy and would need a little more training post adoption to just help her learn proper manners. They are currently in foster here in CT and loving life. They are spayed heartworm negative vaccinated microchipped - up to date on all preventatives. They love to play in the yard and are great in a car and love being by your side. At 55 and 65lbs they prob won't gain too much more weight - they are close to a perfect size right now. Donation is required. Out of state adopters MUST pick up in Bedford Hills NY - no exceptions.

Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash.
