Story
Giselle Giselle is a Female Doodle DOB: March 9, 2024 Adoption fee: $150.00 I have typical Labradoodle energy and behavior. I am learning to walk on a leash but will need to learn manners and boundaries. I am recommended for children 10 years and older. I get a bit overstimulated, and I jump a lot which could be overwhelming for younger children. I will require a physically fenced yard. I am sure to just go wherever my crazy doodle brain decides it wants me to go. I am very excitable in the shelter setting; I would do much better in a home atmosphere with less commotion. Pending a meet and greet I should do well with another dog with similar energy. With a slow acclimation, I should do okay with dog-friendly cats. I would do my best with someone with breed experience. With a calmer atmosphere, structure and daily exercise I will be a great companion for the right situation. If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there! HSSCM.org you can find the applications under the "adoptions" tab.

Name: Zekke Breed Guess: Labradoodle Age: 5 years old Gender: Neutered Male Weight: 62 pounds Shelter Temperament: Friendly Children: Good Cats: Can test upon request Dogs: Meet and Greet Required Adoption fee: $475 Likes: Toys, sitting in laps, and being pet The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.

Story
Meet Sawyer. A 1.5yr old labradoodle. He is a very loyal and kind guy. We adopted him and turns out he prefers a home with older children. We recommend 12yrs and older. We have a six year and he wants nothing to do with her. He is house trained and uses a bell to let you know when he needs to go outside. Fetching the ball is his favorite activity. He will get and bring it back to you. Dropping it at your feet. He does follows orders very well. He doesn’t run when off the leash and stays by my side. And loves to snuggles. He is a very good boy. The only issue is that he needs a home with older children. Which we didn’t know. Sawyer is a lover otherwise and also loves car rides.

Story
Squirt is a three year old female. Squirt.’s weight is 40lbs. She belonged to my father in law who passed away. We got her from a reliable breeder when she was a pup. Our family has two others from the same breeder. Looking for a home where she will be cared for and given lots of attention. She does need someone to spend time training her. She is very smart. Doesn’t chew, house trained. Very loving, also gets excited. Loves to snuggle. Needs to be able to get her energy out. Fenced yard is desired. We are not desperate to find anyone, we are desperate to find a safe loving home for her.

These pups are in Springfield, Michigan too!

Story
Crumb Crumb is a Male Lab mix. DOB: December 7, 2023 Adoption fee: $100.00 I am a very nice boy who has been overlooked one too many times. I am a little shy but that’s what happens when a guy like me spends too much time in a shelter. I go for walks with volunteers, and I love it. I am not going to be a very big dog, maybe 40 pounds give or take a few pounds. I am a quiet guy but will bark when excited or the other dogs are barking of course. I should match with another dog pending a meet and greet. I should adjust to a home with a dog friendly cat. I will do my best in a home with children 8 years and older. I would love a physically fenced-in yard. I may require it pending your previous experience and location. I am not fit for apartment life. I will make a great addition to just about any family. I can’t wait to meet my forever family. If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there!
