He has typical doodle energy and loves long walks, hiking and playing fetch.  Boh loves to cuddle and truly believes in his heart he is a lap dog.  This smart guy knows how to sit, stay and speak (bark). He can be a bit nervous upon initial meet but once you are part of his family he settles in.  He can be a bit anxious when meeting new people and other animals so slow proper introduction is best for this guy.  Boh would thrive best in a home with no children (since kids always have friends that come over which would most likely would stress him out.  He also requires a fenced in backyard to get his playtime on since he loves to play fetch.  If you have an adult only home that loves doodles.. get your app in to spend the holidays with Boh  Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/. Story
Ember is a very energetic and fun medium sized pup (55lbs). She's young (1-2yrs) and vibrant and looking for a home where she can participate in family activities like hikes and walks and Netflix nights. She's as good of a snuggler as she is a jogging companion. Her fur is soft and fluffy and she is lower shedding but we CANNOT guarantee hypoallergenic. She is strong and requires a fit owner who can handle a large and active pup. She did have some matting that resulted in dry skin (hence the shaved spot) that was exmained by a vet who performed a skin scraping to ensure there was no mange or underlying condition (test results were negative). She should be kept on a high quality kibble with fish oil supplements. Ember is located in Houston TX and can be picked up there or we can discuss transport options. Her fee is $850. Meet and greets are done via video chat after an approved application has been submitted. Complete an application for her at recycleddogsrescue.org if interested!

Story
Jack is such a great dog, I very sadly have to rehome him. I have had him since he was 10 weeks old and came from a farm. Work has become too demanding for me to give him the proper attention. He is very social and friendly dog, and rarely barks. He has never showed any sign of aggression with other dogs or humans. He is 19 months old and 55 LBS. Jack is very well socialized with dogs and humans as he has lived in a city. He requires about 60 mins of good walking a day. He is house trained and also knows basic sit, stay, and release word. He is seriously the friendliest dog and it makes me so sad to have to rehome him but I would like to see him get more attention, in the care of a couple or family.

Story
Breed(s): Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Mix Age: 3 years Weight: 65 pounds Vetting Status: Neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm negative & maintained on preventatives. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Looking for a dog that is all about YOU? A best friend, a loyal companion? Trevor may just be your guy! This handsome, eager to please fella was found as a stray, completely emaciated. He gained over 25 pounds and looks like a completely different dog! Trevor is crate trained, but much prefers having less restrictions and more freedom. His house manners have been stellar in his foster home -- no accidents or incidents. Trevor loves people, a love bug that wants to be the center of someone's world! Hanging out and being in your presence & playing with his K-9 companions fulfills his days. Stuffed Kongs are certainly on the favorites list too. This sweet boy is a highly intelligent and rapidly picked up on learning an array of commands to include sit, lay, paw, kennel, down and no. Trevor also enjoys going for a car ride & will gladly offer to ride shot gun on all your important trips... petstore, mcd's, bank with a drive thru giving out cookies, etc. Trevor has been exposed to a vast array of other dogs, both big & small. He would love to have K-9 companions, but surely would not argue with being a SHD (single hound dog) & the center of attention. Cats seem super fun to chase (eek!) and would NOT be recommended. If you think Trevor may be the pup for you, please visit the link below to fill out an application. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TREVOR is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!

Story
With a heavy heart we write this, we are looking for a forever home for our beloved, cuddly, high-energy, silly, 4-year old guy Tubs. We are 100% willing to drive out of our way if we find the right home, so if distance is an issue, don't hesitate to reach out. Recent developments led to us have to move to NYC for work and out of love for our boy, we know what is best for tubs is a place that would be much less triggering for his reactivity problems. He is good with people and some dogs once he knows them, but has serious anxiety and is protective which causes him to be initially very reactive to the unknown. If the following sounds like you, you would be a great fit for tubs! Essential: 1. Experienced with large dogs 2. Have a large, secure fenced in yard (tall fence, he has hops lol) 3. No other pets 4. No small children 5. Have lots of time to exercise 6. Does not live in a city Preferred: 1. Experience with reactive dogs 2. Lives out in the country/on a farm

Story
Gibbie is an active dog Now, he is past the t-rex stage of his teenage years and enjoys running around and playing fetch. I am frequently traveling and splitting living between two far apart states. I don't think I can provide him all the care and love he deserves, and it has become financially draining to afford pet sitting. He is a good guard dog, yet is a sweetheart. Please, ask me if you have any questions about him. I would love to find for him a good home.
