I was deeply cherished, and because of that, I am feeling a bit confused, scared, and unsure right now. I do not understand why everything changed, but I am trying my best to be brave. What I want most is another family to belong to. A place where I can feel safe again, where I can heal, and where I can be loved for the rest of my life. My four-year-old precious boy is from a breeder in Mt. Sterling. I arrived from school one day, and my mother was just lying there with a puppy! I was so shocked, and let me tell you that would be the beginning of an adventure. He is so funny and has so much attitude (which he got from my mom and me, probably). He has always been so lovey-dovey and friendly, and it would crack me up that he acts like a cat at times, which checks out since apparently there were cats at the breeder's home. He is so huge, so whenever he tries to get in our laps or lean on us, it's very comical. It's like he doesn't truly realize his size. He is my best friend and grew up with me, which is why it breaks my heart to let him go. My mother is in a tight financial spot at the moment, and the place we're moving to charges a hefty monthly pet fee on top of rent. I'm begging for a loving home that can provide everything for my sweet boy to take him!! He is an absolute gem and deserves the world truly.

For almost 300 days our Bono has patiently been waiting for his turn for a home. Bono looks like he could be a Labrador / Border Collie mix. His favorite thing to do when he gets out of his kennel is run in circles. After he gets his zoomies out he is immediately very sweet and affectionate, ready for his pets and attention! He is very smart. He is always listening intently to what you say, no doubt wondering if you are talking about him. You can see it in his eyes and how expressive his face is. He is an amazing dog that all of at the shelter love! He one that we all sit around and say, “I can’t believe Bono is still here.” It’s such a hard thing to see such a great dog be looked over. Sometimes things don’t work out the way anyone planned, and after being adopted almost a year ago Topaz is back with us again. He’s still the same good dog he’s always been. He is friendly, loyal, and just wanting someone to spend time with. The shelter can be confusing after living in a home, but he’s adjusting and doing his best. We’re hoping the next time he leaves here, it will truly be forever. If you’re looking for a dog who already knows what it means to be part of a family, he might be the one for you. He is already neutered and around 1 and a half years old. We would like to see him out of here as soon as possible.
