Story
Hi! My name is Sammi. I am a really adorable pup, and I am just looking for my furever home! My sister and I were found on the side of the road. Our foster thinks we are labradoodles, possibly. I am about 10 weeks old (born around 8-2-24), weigh about 10 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. I am doing so well with all of them in my foster home in South Carolina! I am spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for my age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $450, and covers all of my vetting, and includes transport within the next two weeks, if my new family lives in the northeast USA. ***PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ADOPT WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS**** Please visit https://www.apply.daybeforetherainbow.com/ to fill out an adoption application form or email my rescue at taryn@daybeforetherainbow.com! Thanks for checking me out!

Story
Meet Bruce as sweet and gentle Labradoodle! He needs a fenced in yard and active family she is 7 months old sweet and quiet. Active family! She needs to continue structure and crate training kids 8 and up are fine with him. Local adopters only in NY, NJ and CT within 30 miles of NYC. Please note we will only adopt where we have trainers as this is required. We do not have a trainer in Suffolk County (if you are far out), Bronx or Staten Island. What Cooper needs: a cat or dog to keep him company or family with a flexible schedule. We would really like a yard if possible or active NY or NJ family to take him on adventures. Step 1, Email us suekmwdadoptions@gmail.com and tell us your experience with dogs and where u live. 2) If we need more info, we will send u an application 3) DO NOT CALL US 4) DO NOT EMAIL US at our website. We get hundreds of people interested in adopting our dogs and can not possibly get back to everyone. Thank you for your cooperation. Please note we are volunteers and work with patients and can not take calls. Again email us only at the supplied email or via petfinder. Thank you

Story
ARROW - 3 years, 75lbs, Doodle, Neutered  This dog is joining Social Tees on 11/16 and is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program starting that day. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org. INTERMEDIATE: This dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) MEDIUM: Needs a daily 60-90 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Potty trained?Probably! Adults usually are, but all will have transitional accidents for the first week or so. A consistent walking route and schedule plus finding spots with grass or dirt can help. Social with other dogs?Yes, but we don’t know to what degree yet. Some like to wrestle with every passing pup, others can coexist well but prefer to keep to themselves. We’ll learn more soon. Social with cats? Not sure yet! Some breed mixes that are generally NOT great matches for homes with cats include large hounds, huskies, and shepherds.  Comfortable with children?  (ALWAYS requires adult supervision)We’re not sure yet, but we try to err on the side of caution. Respectful kids ages 8 and up are probably a safe bet. Children must always be monitored and taught to interact with dogs of any age respectfully.  Okay in the city?We don’t know yet. Most adult dogs do well in the city after they’ve had time to adjust to a new environment, but some never adapt and need homes in the burbs.  Medical statusHealthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm negative; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake  How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee or St. Thomas. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. Story
Sorry no curls for us even though our Dad was a beautiful white purebred Standard Poodle. Our Mom was a smaller shorter haired Lab mix, so I guess we took after her as far as the hair goes. There were three pups with curly hair, but they found homes right after they were weaned. We are absolutely gorgeous though and some of us have a little scruffy hair around our muzzles. All of us are super friendly and we adore everyone that we meet…adults as well as kids. We’re pretty outgoing, fairly active and we love to play. We also love kids, get along great with other dogs and we really don’t know what to think about kitty cats…they sort of scare us lol. We are sure to bring a whole lot of fun to some lucky family. Birdie is right at 4 months old (dob 6/12/24) and weighs 19 pounds at the time of this posting (10/8/24). She has been spayed, micro-chipped, fecal tested, is current on all vaccinations, worming, heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Birdie is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

These pups are in Norwalk, Connecticut too!
