Sorry no curls for us even though our Dad was a beautiful white purebred Standard Poodle. Our Mom was a smaller shorter haired Lab mix, so I guess we took after her as far as the hair goes. There were three pups with curly hair, but they found homes right after they were weaned. We are absolutely gorgeous though and some of us have a little scruffy hair around our muzzles. All of us are super friendly and we adore everyone that we meet…adults as well as kids. We’re pretty outgoing, fairly active and we love to play. We also love kids, get along great with other dogs and we really don’t know what to think about kitty cats…they sort of scare us lol. We are sure to bring a whole lot of fun to some lucky family. Birdie is right at 4 months old (dob 6/12/24) and weighs 19 pounds at the time of this posting (10/8/24). She has been spayed, micro-chipped, fecal tested, is current on all vaccinations, worming, heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Birdie is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

Story
Meet our super friendly Lab girl named Nala! Nala is about 6 years old, and she was surrendered to us after her family could no longer care for her. She is a really great dog who will make a wonderful addition to any family! She was owned by a family who had children and other dogs. The mark on her leg is a scar from an old injury. When Nala was a puppy, she got loose and was hit by a car. She needed surgery on her right front leg, and that is where the scar is from. Nala has low/medium energy and she is not super toy/ball driven. Nala is very food motivated and she is gentle when taking treats. She loves to be around people and get attention. Nala even likes the kiddie pool and she may be a swimmer! She is good with other dogs and she has tested well with cats. We even have her original puppy paperwork from the pet store she came from! Nala can go to a home with kids 8 years old and older. If you are interested in adopting Nala, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! Her adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org
