Story
What a young and silly boy sporting a wiry goatee! Tucker is a 2 year old Labradoodle and he is looking for his new family. He has traded in outdoor farm life for indoor living and thinks it is really swell. Initially he is a little hesitant about meeting new people, but a treat in hand helps him forget his fear and he is happy to meet new people. He fostered in a home with multiple dogs, but we have found that when he is one of two dogs, he tries to protect his new family from the other dog so we prefer to place him in an only dog home. He is hesitant about getting in a car, but once he is in, he is a great rider and seems to enjoy it. He is a very large boy and currently weighs 70#s He is very happy to hang around the house and get pets or to go out in the fenced yard and poke around while is foster mom does yard work. While we are not up to speed on all of the nomenclature for doodles, we do know his mother was the lab and his father was the poodle. His hair is actually great as it is wavy and wiry, but not the grooming nightmare of most doodles. If you have an active family and are looking for a doodle with a great personality that does not have the crazy grooming needs of the curly coats, Tucker may be just the guy for you. Feel free to email iPAWinc2022@gmail.com for an application.

Story
Meet Summit, a gorgeous six-year-old, 48lb. F2B Labradoodle with a non-shedding coat and heart full of love to give. She is being surrendered to our rescue as she is no longer doing well with the children in the home now that the family’s baby is crawling and getting more into her space. As the situation is no longer safe, we would like to find Summit a new home quickly. This sweet and loyal girl thrives on affection and will happily stick by your side wherever you go. Whether you're enjoying a relaxing day at home or exploring the great outdoors, Summit is the perfect companion for all of life’s adventures. She loves hiking, playing fetch, and spending time in nature. Summit is incredibly smart and well-trained. She knows a variety of commands, including sit, lay down, stay, roll over, come, leave it, go potty, and her unique command "in the woods," which sends her off the grass to do her business. She’s both house and crate trained and is excellent off-leash, always returning when called. While she does pull on the leash, a "gentle lead" helps manage this behavior. She enjoys the company of male dogs and can coexist with some female dogs but hasn’t had experience with cats. Summit is wonderful with older children who are predictable but has shown aggression toward younger kids, which is why she’s looking for a new home where she can feel safe and confident. She has shown occasional resource-guarding behavior so you should have some level of dog experienced when applying. While Summit is non-shedding, she does require regular grooming to keep her coat maintained. This loving pup is protective of her family, making her a great companion for someone who appreciates her devotion. If you’re searching for an affectionate, active, and well-trained dog to join your home, Summit could be your perfect match! She’ll bring endless love, loyalty, and joy for years to come! Her adoption fee is $400 and Summit is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. She does have environmental allergies, so she is on aboquel daily. Story
*SNUGGLE ALERT!*  Bristol, a vibrant ~2 year old terrier/lab mix, is a bundle of love and energy waiting to enrich your life! This sweet 45-pound spayed female adores people, children, and snuggles, making her the perfect companion for an active family or individual. She is very friendly and loves other dogs! She also does well with dog savvy cats.  Bristol thrives on human interaction and loves being close to her people. Due to her exuberant nature, we recommend older kids 8+ or dog-savvy kiddos (she means no harm and does not have a mean bone in her body, however she may unintentionally knock over a small child).  Bristol walks well on leash and is doggie door trained. She is a quick learner, eager to please, and loves belly rubs and showering her family with kisses! A fenced-in yard would be her dream come true, where she can unleash her signature "zoomies" and adorable "tippy-toes" running style.  Apply to meet this sweet, special girl today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2073770##

Story
Meet Casper, a ~5 year old neutered male mini poodle/shih tzu mix, weighing about 22 lbs! He is a sweet boy who can be shy at first and is fearful/aggressive to strangers. He wants desperately to form connections with people (and he does once you give him space and let him come to you on his own terms), but he is very fearful and he has learned that behaving in an aggressive manner = the scary thing goes away. He takes time to warm up to strangers and needs someone who will be patient with him and work on helping him learn to trust. He DOES have the capacity to trust and once he does, he is an absolute LOVE and a very sweet boy.  Casper is selectively good with other dogs after a proper introduction (he does best with similar sized dogs). He is good with people once he has gotten to know them and trusts them, but would do best in a child-free home. He has not been cat tested, but we feel he would probably do ok with cats. Casper's ideal home would be one with a quiet, calm environment. From Casper's current foster: "Casper is truly growing everyday. He still is protective when strangers come into the house but we are working on this. Going to do some more training to help him there. But as far as my family in my house, he is a complete love. Loves to play, lay on your lap and be around his people. He is so gentle and sweet. That is contrary to his reaction with strangers in the house. I just love this guy. He is amazing with my boys. Has welcomed the puppies into the home with no problems. He is going to be an amazing dog to the right people. He just wants to be loved and feel safe. So sad he had a rough start but he is such a joy to have." Casper is medically up to date, crate trained, and mostly housebroken. Apply to meet this special boy today!
