Story
Boaz/Bodie/Bo is a 3-year-old Straight-hair Labradoodle. Bodie is a medium sized, trained, indoor dog. Bodie was purchased from a breeding company called Puppy Spot for five thousand dollars. Bodie has only known one owner and one family. Bodie is an athletic, shy, and gentle dog. Bodie is not aggressive at all. He does not jump on, bite, or even lick people in the face. Bodie loves to be pet and cuddled with but is not demanding about it. Bodie has a big bark, and he is vigilant which creates a great amount of awareness security in a household. Bodie is disciplined in the sense that he does not damage shoes, clothing, or furniture. Bodie is most likely the perfect dog for you, just like he was for us. Unfortunately, we are not able to keep Bodie due to unforeseen personal circumstances. We are not asking for any compensation for Bodie even though we are aware of his monetary value. Our biggest concern is finding the best re-home environment for him to peacefully live.

Story
This is Diesel! I unexpectedly rescued him from someone I know. He was living in a small kennel for about 2 years before I took him in. He is 3-4 years old. He is a sweet boy, house trained and listens well. He gets along with my border collie, and tolerates my puppy, although he definitely does not like all of her energy. He is great with my 8 and 12 year old sons, and has been around smaller children with no issues, although I’ve never witnessed that myself. The reason I am rehoming him is because he does not like cats (I have 4) or other small animals. I have chickens and indoor cats so he can only come inside when I have them in another room. He deserves the best life and he is a great dog. He needs a home with no cats or small animals. He would be great as the only dog. He is very calm, and when he comes inside, he just lays around and wants love. I also have his breed DNA result upon request. Maui is a beautiful, sweet, and silly 75lb Double Doodle (her wisdom panel shows 45% Labrador Retriever, 32% Golden Retriever, 22% Poodle, and 1% Flat-Coated Retriever). She came to SPAR facing life and death, having to undergo her second gastrointestinal surgery. She luckily pulled through the surgery and the weeks of recovery. She had previously had a foreign body removal 6 months prior as a puppy. Maui is looking for a special home. Having already used two (or more) of her spare lives, her body cannot afford another foreign body removal or gastrointestinal surgery. She cannot have access to any toys or anything left out she can chew on (blankets, dog beds, her leash, plastic dog bowls, etc). She sleeps in her kennel at night and is great around other dogs of all sizes. She is learning about cats in her current foster home and might be okay around dog-savvy cats. She would be okay in a home with older kids that understand the safety concerns of leaving things out where Maui can get into them. She has decent leash manners and enjoys going on walks. She is very smart and would love to take additional obedience classes to bond more with her new family. Maui also has already had an incisional gastropexy, so no future risks of GDV, or “bloat”. We go through a multi-step process for our dogs that includes meeting at the fosters home, a home inspection, and reference checks.

CHe needs a home where he can go on adventures, run, play and be loved on and adored. I worry that my home can’t be that for him anymore - and while my heart is breaking as I write this - I fear that this is the best choice for his mental space. There would be a zero cost rehoming fee. His shots are up to date. We can provide everything we have for him, crate, bed, food, treats, toys, toy bin. He’s been through various training courses in basic training and agility. When he’s feeling secure and safe he is the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. The rehoming is simply to cover the cost of using this platform.
