Story
Hi there! My name is Feather. I’m about a year old, and I’m just a girl looking for my forever home. I am a black lab mix with strikingly soulful eyes that seem to tell a story of resilience and hope. My journey hasn’t been easy. I was found wandering the streets of Yuma all alone. I waited and waited for my first family to come back for me… but they never did. Luckily, the kind folks at Central Arizona Animal Rescue saved me, and now I am here, dreaming that someone like you will give me a chance. I will admit, I’m a little shy when I first meet new people. I’ve had a rough start in life, and it takes me a little time to trust. But once you give me that time, you will see—I have so much love to give. I am the kind of girl who is wonderful with other dogs, and I even like people who are patient and kind to me. I’m not so sure about little kids just yet, though. Their fast, sudden movements can spook me. Older kids who understand that I need to take things slow would be perfect. Nobody ever taught me how to walk on a leash, so I am still learning the ropes. But I promise, with your guidance, I will get there. I just need someone who believes in me and will show me all the wonderful things the world has to offer. I am spayed, up-to-date on all my vaccinations, and I even have a microchip! I’m ready to be your loyal companion, your shadow, your best friend. All I need is a chance. If you think you could be my person, please email mike@caaronline.org to set up a time to meet me. Oh, and if I am not the perfect fit for you, could you share my story? Maybe you can help me find the family I've been waiting for.   I’ll be here, waiting patiently. Maybe, just maybe, you’re the one I’ve been dreaming of.   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis. Central Arizona Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation. We are located in San Tan Valley, AZ. If you have other dogs already, you must bring them for introduction prior to adoption.
