Hi! I'm Smokey! I'm an approximately 8 month old, male, fawn Anatolian/Lab mix who weights about 40lbs. I was brought to the shelter on 04/02/2025 with hopes of finding my furr ever home! Shelter staff is not sure what happened in my prior life, but I arrived with a severe injury to my right leg. The injury resulted in an infection that refused to heal. The decision was made to amputate my leg so that the infection did not get worse. I am working hard to adapt to my new way of life and am getting the hang of walking on 3 legs! In spite of the trauma I've endured at such a young age, I am a very affectionate, silly, and playful guy who is looking for a fresh start. I get along with other dogs but a meet and greet is encouraged if you have another pet in the home to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination and basic boosters, and am heartworm negative! RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks.
