When "Irish eyes are smiling..." so ok, we are not likely from the Emerald Isle however, our eyes can show you what it means to be happy and safe :) We are the sisters three, Paige, Lindsey and Kelsey and we are here to tell you that we are some of the LUCKIEST non- Irish pups that are living! We were impounded at a local shelter and they were so full they were going to have to kill us to make more room :( This is a very typical situation in Texas, TOO MANY BABIES BEING BORN.... However, as we said, we are the LUCKY ONES! Another local rescue said, "we can help, even though we are full to the brim" and JUST LIKE THAT- REAL LIFE!! We are in a wonderful foster home will be spayed shortly and ready to find our LUCKY FAMILIES!! If you want to be one of our families, please apply to adopt! Hurry, we are super cute and won't be waiting for love long!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Hello there, I'm Rio! I wandered to a nice person's house along with 4 siblings and our mom. The nice people at the shelter came and got me and thank goodness they did, because we were just wandering aimlessly. My days are filled with wagging tails and wet noses. I'm just a puppy, but I've got a big heart. I'm sweet as honey, always ready to give you my undivided attention. I'm friendly too, eager to meet new friends and play. Loyalty is my middle name, I promise to be your faithful companion through thick and thin. And I'm gentle, careful with every step and touch. My dream? To find a forever home where I can share all this love. Adopt me, and let's fill our days with joy and companionship.   If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35).
