Story
*** Konya is in a foster home. ***Solid gray Russian Blue mix, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 1/1/17, #18838Other cats: solo kitty Dogs: calm dog okay Children: calm tweens+Konya's beloved person died very unexpectedly and was found in her home during a welfare check by a concerned friend. That friend had ties to Rescue House and she sought our assistance since the lady's extended family and friends all had cats and that would not be the best environment for Konya. Konya is now looking to find a new home where she will be just as loved!Konya is adventuresome and talkative and likes life on her own terms! She's a fan of all levels of vertical space: jumping on tall trees, chilling on medium-level counters, and exploring the depths of cabinets and drawers (so do be careful she doesn't get shut in one). Konya is playful with toys if you're involved in the interaction, though she doesn't seem to do much with loose toys of her own accord. While she does not care to be picked up for cuddles, Konya loves to sit next to you while you watch TV and will snug up close to your warm body. Chin scratches are most welcome. Her purr motor seems to be broken, as we've never heard it, but she still shows her appreciation of your affection and company. On occasion, Konya will sit directly on your lap for a few minutes or lie on your chest for a bit, but she likes to know she is free to come and go as she pleases. This extends to the nighttime, as she'll sleep part of it on the bed with you and then part of it wherever else tickles her fancy. She has an independent spirit and is a great companion!Konya prefers a quieter home where she is the only kitty. She has lived with a dog before and could likely do so again so long as it's a mellow cat-knowledgeable canine. Konya would rather not live with younger children, though calmer tweens and up may work well.Konya didn't expect to need to find a new person to love, but unfortunately it turned out that way, and she knows the best home is with a good human. Will you be her new partner in life?
