Story
*Someone- ”There is no such thing as a perfect dog”
Us- “Meet Lamby, he is actual perfection!”
Okay, sure, perfection is subjective but I have yet to meet a person who has met/spent time with Lamby that hasn’t used the word perfect to describe him. Some how within a day Lamby had amassed an army of devoted followers who would “die for him.” Fan-club level mania meets ultimate mama-bear protective love for this boy is the vibe since he arrived. We don’t know his story given he is a rescue and even though we can’t all keep him the way we would love to, it is an absolute joy to spend this time with him. Watch us all fall in love with him but be prepared to do the same, then come back to read more!

This will not only be a gushing testament to how heavenly is, lets cover the basics. Lamby is estimated to be right around 1 year old, he weighs 70 lbs, and is likely a Great Pyrenees mix. Given he is a rescue we cannot guarantee age or breed but looks and personality tell us a lot. What we can absolutely guarantee with Lamby is a heart-warming face and a gentle, caring nature. Lamby has been introduced to a variety of dogs and he has been a perfect gentleman. We see signs that there is a puppy-like playfulness in there that will likely emerge once he is home and settled in. Often Pyrenees mix dogs are much more the care-taker than party-starter, but even if the party stays calm we think Lamby is a perfect blend of both. Even though he didn’t get to rompin’ and rollin’, he was at ease with each and every dog he was introduced too and made connections with a variety of dogs. In addition to being dog friendly, Lamby was an angel with our resident house cat. You can see more in this video, including him meeting the cat and a few shared kisses.
One of my favorite things about Lamby is how peaceful his presence is, quiet company that just feels familiar. There is no sense of urgency with him, from the pace he takes on leash to feeling you get when he snuggles up with you, he is a natural de-stresser. Another important thing to know, Lamby doesn’t know a stranger, he won’t pull you to get to them but his calm energy practically draws people into him and he greets them with the dog equivalent of open arms. Almost every person says something along the lines of “I needed that” as if to say he melted the stress away. The next thing they say is “I want him!” Or “Oh my god! He is perfect!” So be prepared for literally everyone to love your dog if you adopt Lamby.
Given his size and nature, we would love to see Lamby in a home where he has space to explore and play. Although we didn’t get to see him run, once he is settled in a home and is comfortable, he may show you what those long legs can do. A house with a yard, a loving family, a mellow-canine companion or maybe even a feline friend, even a few cows- Lamby is going to be right at home! He is great on leash as well so if walks around the block or into town are your thing, here is your new walking partner!
As much as we wish we could keep him, he is ready and waiting for his forever family. If you can guard his big, gentle loving heart, he promises gentle, calm companionship and loyalty in return. Looks, charm, and a golden-good heart… Lamby is the best-boy!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
