Meet Yeti! He’s a big lovable teddy bear who was left to fend for himself by his previous owners when they moved. He LOVES to play in water. He’s very treat motivated and eager to please. He’s pretty docile with other dogs. Yeti has a bad ear infection he’s seeing the vet for, so we’re sure he’ll be more excited about pets once that’s better. Yeti is a big Great Pyrenees mix weighing about 70 pounds at 6 years old.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. Story
Bean is four years old, weighs 136 pounds, and has been with us since March 2023, when our daughter began serving in the Navy. Bean is very loyal, loves going for walks, and lounging in the back yard. He loves snuggles and tummy rubs - really any kind of affection will do. He is not a big chewer, unless it's a bone or food. He is very much house broken. Bean is a celebrity in our neighborhood. We are often stopped by neighbors who ask what kind of dog he is, and they always comment how beautiful he is. He loves to visit with people in our neighborhood - both children and adults - and is very friendly. Bean is not kennel trained. He does tend to bark when visitors approach or enter the house, but is not aggressive. He prefers not to be alone too much, so a home that has people around most of the time is best.
