Story
Meet Rose: A Lovable Soul Looking for Her Forever Home Rose's journey hasn’t been easy, but she is a sweet, gentle dog ready to find a loving family who can offer her the stability and care she deserves. Three years ago, Rose was adopted from a high-kill shelter, where she and her brother, Baekdu, had been waiting for a second chance. Sadly, after three years, Rose and Baekdu were returned to the shelter after their owner’s breakup. In high-kill shelters, adult Jindo dogs are at high risk of euthanasia, and we knew that Rose and Baekdu would face an uncertain future without intervention. While Baekdu was fortunate to quickly find a new home, Rose has carried the trauma of her early life with her. She had been abused by her previous owner, leaving her with a fear of people. But through patience, care, and time, Rose has made remarkable progress. She has learned to trust again, and now she is ready for a fresh start in a home that can provide the love and care she needs to continue healing. ❤️❤️Personality and Behavior Rose is a gentle and affectionate dog, seeking the love and attention of her people. Though timid at times, her curiosity often shines through as she explores her surroundings. She enjoys being petted and is friendly with both men and women. While she has not had experience with children or cats, we believe with the right guidance and environment, she could adapt well. When it comes to other dogs, Rose is generally good, but she tends to dislike overly aggressive approaches. She is more likely to thrive in a home where she is the only dog, as she can become overwhelmed by strong personalities. Rose does not show aggression but is more likely to shy away from tense situations. Rose is fully potty trained and can use both indoor and outdoor facilities. She has not had crate training but is learning to adapt to new situations with time. Rose has an average energy level—she enjoys walks and playtime but also loves her quiet moments. ❤️❤️Health and Daily Needs Rose has a good appetite and enjoys her meals. She can walk on a leash, though she may need some encouragement and time to adjust to regular walking routines. She is not prone to excessive barking but will softly bark when other dogs or people are nearby. Rose is not an escape artist, and while she will back away if forced into an uncomfortable situation, she is generally calm and not prone to running away. Rose is also a gentle soul when it comes to toys—she enjoys playing, but her behavior tends to lean toward dismantling toys rather than destructive chewing. ❤️❤️Ideal Home for Rose Rose would thrive in a home where she can receive the care and attention, she needs to feel safe and secure. Ideally, she would benefit from a house with a yard, especially if daily walks are not possible. While Rose could live in an apartment, it’s essential that she receives regular walks (2-3 times a day) to keep her healthy and happy. Rose may be best as the only dog in the household, though she may also adapt well to a calm, well-mannered dog who respects her boundaries. Rose’s perfect family will be patient, understanding, and willing to offer her the structure she needs. With the right guidance, Rose will blossom into an incredibly loving and loyal companion. Could you be the one to give Rose the second chance she’s been waiting for? If you have the time and love to offer her, Rose is ready to bring joy, affection, and her gentle nature into your home. Together, you can give her the forever home and happy ending she deserves. 💕
