Story
If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at Richardsonrescue.org. Bentley was 1 year old as of September, 2024 and is a Standard Poodle. This boy has a nice temperament and has gotten along well with large, small and tiny dogs here but was an only dog in his previous home. He is best with larger dogs and we think he would do better in a home with a nice dog to learn the world is okay. He has never been around cats so we cannot comment to how he would do with cats. He is  a shy guy though and will not come running to you when you visit him and is timid about new things. However, he has not had any nippy or aggressive issues with us even though he is shy.  He will need some time and patience in a new home. He is house and crate trained and will need to be crated if you leave him home alone. A home where someone is home a lot would probably be best. He does great in a fence and does not try to escape. He loves to take walks and runs. He would do best in a quiet, adult home with experience working with dogs that are a little shy. He is now coming up to everyone here at the rescue for some loves and we love it because of the time he has spent with us to get him this far. He has been with us for a bit over two months now and we have finally won his trust. Bentley is neutered and current on shots, heartworm and flea prevention. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 30, 2025, 9:11 am
