Story
***Local adoption only: Teagan must be adopted by a family in the Central Florida area who can commit to taking him to all his final puppy vetting appointments. (The cost of his follow up is covered by the rescue).***
Hi, I'm Teagan! I'm a 7-month-old Standard Poodle who currently weighs around 30 lbs. I'm looking for snacks, snuggles, and a special family who will love me forever. Could that be you? Read on to find out!
General Behavior: Teagan is a wonderful puppy. Independent, athletic, playful, and curious, he has short bursts of energy, frolicking in the yard with his foster brothers. He has already developed a deep, low bark that will warn you about any stranger, or a neighbor’s dog barking. After a long day of playing and looking out for his family, he is a perfect back sleeper in his humans' bed. He is simply a delight!
Likes & Dislikes: This young gourmand LOVES food and is very food-motivated. He also loves toys.
Training: Teagan is well on his way to being a little gentleman! He is housetrained if let out frequently and is already a good passenger on car rides. He will just need basic training for his puppy habits, such as pulling on the leash or "counter-surfing" (so in the meantime, keep tasty things away from the edges of counters or tables)!.
Medical: Teagan is a healthy boy: he just needs his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog.
Other Animals: Teagan loves to play tough with his bigger labradoodle foster and is very gentle with his smaller foster brother.
Children: Teagan hasn't been observed around children yet.
Home: With his deep bark and energetic personality, Teagan would do best in a single-family home with a securely fenced yard.
Grooming: Teagan has soft, curly, Poodle fur that will need to be brushed regularly, with professional grooming about every 6-8 weeks.
Overall: According to his fosters, Teagan is simply terrific!
Could you raise Teagan and love him forever? Do you live in the Central Florida region? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered, and he has just had his teeth cleaned. His adoption donation is $600.
