Dog meet and greets are by appointment only, please answer the questions below the bio, either through Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet, Rescueme.org or by directly e-mailing us at shelter@hbpets.org. Answering the questions below, will help move the adoption process along faster. ***Please check your Junk/Spam folder for reply e-mails from us, if its been more than 72 hours*** Hi, I am Bruce, I am 1yr 9mths old, neutered male and a Karelian Bear/American Staffy Mix. I had a wonderful home, but life events happened for my humans and my whole world got flipped, my owners were great they taught me all kinds of commands, how to walk on a leash, they understood my breed very well. They thought they had found a wonderful home for me, but within 2 days that person gave me away and then that person dumped me it was a very stressful 72hrs, my old owner could not take me back, but gave the team a ton of information about me. I have lived with St. Bernard's both male and female a Great Dane and an Italian Grey hound and two cats. He has not lived with children. He take a minute to warm up to strangers and can be protective of his home in an acceptable way. He is incredibly smart, regal, eager to please, his recall is almost a 100%, he would prefer a private yard and someone who is a little active. He loves tug-a-war and fetch. My adoption fee is $250 1. Do you have a privately fenced yard? 2. What animals live in your home? 3. How many people and ages live in your home? 4. Have you had a large dog before? He is 77lbs 5. Please look up his predominate breed Karelian Bear, to understand his breed. 6. He will need two visits, this will be required, is this something you can do?

Story
Ok, who else in the audience LOVES the Asian BREEDS???? Shiba Inu, Akita, Korean Jindo, Chow Chow???? WE LOVE THEM ALL!! So, I am what we all believe is a Korean Jindo mixed boy. And these breeds have a couple of things in common- we are clean dogs (more like cats than dogs), we are stubborn, we love our people (and are picky about people who are not them), and we are absolutely gorgeous!! So there is my personality :) I am good with other dogs, love females more than male dogs but can get along with both. I am only 45#, compact with gorgeous fur. I love my people, but I am definitely mouthy when I play so would be best in an adult only home. I am so smart, so independent, so stubborn and SO LOVABLE! If you are my peeps, you will have enough love for the rest of your lives!! I am being social at the rescue, I am exposed to and cared for by quite a few different people, I just love my real peeps more!! lol If you want to meet me and adopt me, let my rescue know! Fill out the application and lets get on with our forever lives :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

These pups are in Portland, Oregon too!

Story
Akita Mix 1 year old Male 60 pounds Kids · 6+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No What My Friends Say About Me: I’m a bundle of puppy energy who loves to play and stay active! Affection is my middle name—I thrive on cuddles and kisses from my favorite humans. Whether it’s a hike, a run, or just exploring the neighborhood, I’m ready to join you on all your adventures. The Type of Home I’m Looking For: I’m looking for a home where I can receive positive reinforcement training to help me learn and grow. I would prefer children over the age of 6 and no feline friends. My adoption fee is $300 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Akita Mix 1 year old Male 66 pounds Kids · 8+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No What My Friends Say About Me: I’m a sweet and affectionate boy who absolutely loves people! I’ve got a lot of energy to burn! Whether it’s a game of fetch, chasing after a ball, or just running around the yard, I’m always up for some fun! I get along well with other dogs and love making new furry friends. The Type of Home I’m Looking For: I haven’t had any experience with cats, so I’m not sure how I’d react. For now, I think it’s best if I stick to my dog pals. I’m an energetic guy, so I’d do best with children over the age of 8 who can keep up with my playful nature. I could use some positive reinforcement training to help me become the best dog I can be. My adoption fee is $300 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Rrrrruffff! I'm Kya! I'm a happy and smiley girl! I love people and I'm a very sweet girl. I can be a tiny bit anxious but with time I come out of my shell pretty easily! I'm a cattle dog mix, and I have some white, brown and black in my coat! I'm quite beautiful, and I smile often! I'm dog friendly, I currently go out with two other large female foster sisters and a foster brother! At first, I try to work and will to herd everyone. That's my job, so that's what I do! But,, I play and jump around once I know my duties have been completed! I'm potty and crate trained! My foster Mom lets me out in the yard (fenced in), and I get to play with others and do my business. When I'm all done, I go straight to my crate, where I'm fed and given water! I do like to play in the water too, sometimes I just stand in it. I'm a great adventure partner too, I love adventures! The only adventures I go on right now are to Home Depot, Marshall's, and my favorite...the drive thru at Starbucks! I get to get a pup cup every time! Watch how good I was at my last trip to Marshall's with my Foster Mom here: https://youtu.be/CJkoorJ859w?feature=shared I'm so happy that I'll be able to find my forever home soon. I would love to provide all the love and affection to someone or a whole family! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/65f3125f9b7140f9e40d9c18 Please email priya@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan• 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
