Story
Barrett is a sweet and playful pup who knows how to sit and walks nicely on a leash. He's affectionate, a little silly, and has a medium energy level-just the right mix of fun and relaxation. Barrett may already be potty trained, and he's always eager to interact with the other shelter dogs, showing lots of interest in playtime. If you're looking for a fun-loving and loyal companion, Barrett could be the perfect fit! On 8/21/24 Barrett attended playgroup. He was friendly and social with a playful attitude Very high energy, fun boy On 9/25/24 Barrett attended playgroup. He was high energy with a playful attitude. He was friendly and social and appropriate in all his interactions. "Hi I'm Barrett, a 2yr old sweetheart from MAS. I am completely housebroken and crate trained! Since coming to my foster home, I haven't used the bathroom in the house or in my crate one single time! My new foster mom is amazed. She told me I'm the first doggy ever to do that. And I learned how to use a doggy door in less than 2 hours after arriving here so I am also very smart. When mom goes to work at night, she puts me in my kennel. She watches me on the puppy camera and is so pleased because I am such a good boy and sleep quietly all night. Look at my cute face and beautiful markings. Everyone says my fur is so soft and that I have beautiful eyes. I get along great with my two new brothers. We play and have so much fun. Mom thinks it's cute the way I do a little prance when I get excited over a new toy. I was allowed in mom's bedroom last night for the first time. That door has been shut until she trusted me. She said she trusted me so much that we were all going to sleep in the bed. I snuggled up with her and my brothers and slept like an angel. My mom loves the new ducky pajamas she bought me because she says I am absolutely adorable! So if you are wanting a snuggle bunny friend, I am the perfect little boy for you."

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
He is a super chill, observant, gentleman. His favorite spot is the couch maxin' and relaxin'. He is fantastic with my small children (4 and 6) and has a gentle curiosity for my rabbits. He enjoys snuggles, but really only when he wants them, on his terms. He's really low maintenance. Couch, food, chew toys, a yard to run in and bum scratches. His back legs melt like butter when you scratch his back and hips. He is potty trained and finally goes into the crate on his own. It took a while to ease his fear of the crate and we are SO proud of him. He gets along great with other dogs. He is submissive, but is really enjoying the company of other pups. He can be found EVERY morning patiently sitting at the bottom of the stairs for his people. He is such a joy to wake up to. He is so happy to see us. He does have a few idiosynchrasies to be aware of and to be patient with. 1. He PANICS when he is grabbed by the collar. To harnass him for walks takes slow patience, but then he is a happy fella. 2. Not an issue, but curious, he lives for the couch, but only by himself. He will not join humans and if a person sits on the couch next to him he gets up to go to another couch. Bottom line: We adore him. He has traveled a journey that I wasn't sure he would recover from, but he has and continues to. He is happier and livelier every day. He is an awesome fella!

Story
Waylon is a sweet, playful boy. He has been my little shadow since he came home with me, always sticking close to me and curious about everything I'm doing. I've taken him on multiple car rides of different lengths and he does great every time. He does pretty well on the leash. He doesn't pull but he hasn't quite figured out the mechanics of it and will get tangled up. I gave him two baths and he has no problem with the bath. He does have a slight problem sitting still but it was still pretty easy to bathe and dry him. He met 4 new people (2 men, 2 women) and was very friendly to all of them. He was jumpy at first but listened when told no a couple times. He met my neighbors two dogs through the chain link fence and he simply sniffed curiously and was not reactive to their barking. My other neighbors have three dogs that regularly bark when we are in the backyard and he doesn't seem to pay them any attention. When he met my 7 year old female dog, they instantly got along. She could do without the constant puppy energy and attention he gives her now that I've introduced them, but she tolerates it and enjoys playing with him. When they both settle down they cuddle up on either side of me and sleep soundly. He will try to chew on things if things are left where he can get them. I have diverted his attention to toys when that happens but he's still learning. He learned to sit with just praise as a reward so he is smart and eager to please. He whines in the crate for a bit then settles down. I've had him inside for two days now and so far he has waited until we got outside to potty. He has a healthy appetite and loves a treat. Overall he has a pretty calm temperament for an unneutered puppy without any training. I think he will be easy to care for and teach.
