Story
Meet Wooju, a 2-year-old Jindo mix with a handsome white, black, and beige coat, weighing 10.5kg. This sweet boy was rescued in February 2023 along with his three littermates when they were at risk of being sold to a dog farm. Now, he's ready to find a loving home where he can truly shine!
Wooju is a friendly pup who enjoys human company and will often approach people with playful affection. However, if someone moves toward him too quickly, he may occasionally shy away. The key to his heart? Treats! He warms up quickly with a little snack and is easy to handle once he feels comfortable. He tends to prefer men over women and, for reasons unknown, doesn’t like being forcibly held—he may whine and try to wiggle away. He hasn’t met kids under 13 yet, but he’s gentle enough to be a good fit. He can be picked up safely and even handles bath time like a champ!
When it comes to other dogs, Wooju is pretty independent. He isn’t overly interested in making canine friends but will occasionally engage in play if the mood strikes. However, he prefers to do his own thing and will often wander off on his own after a short play session. He gets along best with dogs of similar size but tends to avoid overly energetic dogs. If they persist too much, he may give a single bark to set boundaries. Despite this, he generally avoids conflict and walks away from any tension.
Wooju has never met a cat, but given his personality, he’s likely to be indifferent. A cat test can be arranged if needed.
With a moderate energy level, Wooju enjoys outdoor adventures but also values his quiet downtime. After a fun outing, he prefers to retreat to his own space and relax. He enjoys peaceful walks in quiet areas but can be startled by heavy traffic, sudden movements, or loud noises.
This polite boy has no food-guarding tendencies with people or dogs, but he does have a hearty appetite! Due to past food scarcity, he may try to eat more than he needs, so portion control will be important. He rarely barks, stays calm when crated, and is overall a well-behaved companion. However, he is prone to motion sickness in cars.
Wooju is looking for a home that understands his independent but affectionate nature. If you're searching for a gentle, well-mannered companion who enjoys both outdoor fun and quiet time, Wooju might just be the perfect match!
