Story
Huchu is still waiting for his furever home! He's is a Jindo mix neutered boy, about 2-3 years old and 22kg. Huchu loves all people, including kids. He shows his affection by asking for pets and belly rubs and lots of tail wagging. He also loves other dogs and is a great playmate for them. He is a little too interested in cats, so needs a home with no feline friends. Huchu is a high energy boy. He would be a great running buddy. His leash manners are good, but he is still very curious about the world. He's not crate trained, but will stay well. He is housebroken. He has no aggression or possessiveness towards food or toys. Huchu is not a flight risk. He only barks when someone enters the home but settles down. Huchu was found on the street and sent to a kill shelter. Story
Juju's owner has passed away and she needs a new homeShe's currently in Nanaimo, BC *** She’s currently taking Methimazole for thyroid neoplasia, over 85% chance it is malignant. Please donate to our GoFundMe for her Thyroid Neoplasia Treatmenthttps://gofund.me/2caa80e5 She's a Jindo mix spayed girl, about 9 years old and 13 kg Juju likes people, and will follow you well once she gets to know you. She will need time because she can feel awkward to meet strangers in unfamiliar environments. She has good walking manners, but is sometimes afraid of cats or birds. Juju is gentle and quiet, and hardly barks in vain. She plays well alone with her toy ball. As she doesn’t know how to hang out with other dog friends, she needs some time to get along with other dogs. No other dogs or cats in the home will be ideal. She really doesn’t like it if someone suddenly touches her tail, privates, paws or her side. She eats dog food well and is ok self-feeding. Her favourite snack is chicken breast, dried duck wings and dried pollack. Ready to meet Juju? Story
Guksoo is still looking for a loving family He is currently fostered in Barrie, ON. Guksoo is a neutered Jindo mix boy who is about 4 years old.He can be shy at first, but slowly warms up over time, and tends to trust women more than men. Deep down he loves people and wants to be with them all the time! When he first came into his foster home, he was very shy but would timidly ask for pets by slowly pawing at the humans. Now, he has become more social and will come up to strangers with a wagging tail to ask for pets and treats! He still continues to paw at his foster parents when he wants attention, and loves to snuggle and give kisses first thing in the morning. He is okay and gentle with kids, but can be startled by sudden movements. After some time, good food, and lots of walks, he will open up and give you lots of kisses and hugs When it comes to other dogs, Guksoo LOVES to play! And especially loves girl dogs. He loves to run and play with his doggy friends and is excited to play with both new and familiar friends. With his foster sibling, he loves to groom her and give her lots of kisses. However, he is still learning that not all dogs like to play, especially on leash, and he can get a bit frustrated when he sees another dog on a walk that he cant say hi to. He is learning how to be neutral to other dogs while walking and responds well to his handler. He has a medium energy level, he loves going for walks and exploring, and rests well once at home. He has a low prey drive and ignores cats when he meets them while on walks, but sometimes likes to chase birds and squirrels. He is currently fostered with bunnies and lived with a cat for a short time, he is very gentle with them and leaves them alone after a quick sniff. On walks, Guksoo can be a bit excited at first but will eventually relax and walk by his handler’s side, occasionally stopping to sniff. He rarely pulls unless he sees another dog or a small animal but is easily redirected. He is fully potty trained outdoors. Guksoo Rarely barks, only when a stranger knocks on the door or if something new startles him. He has no destructive behaviours and can be left alone in the home without any issues. He loves to chew and enjoys playing with his chew toys or a long lasting treat.  Will you welcome this sweet boy into your family? Story
Meet Ben! A 5-year-old Jindo mix weighing 16kg Ben is a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly if you offer him a treat. He gets along exceptionally well with children under 13 and even allows strangers to pick him up. Once he trusts you, he’ll reward you with his signature move—rolling over to show his belly! With other dogs, Ben is generally friendly but cautious. He’s uncomfortable around larger dogs or those with high energy levels but is more relaxed and amicable with dogs his size or smaller. While he doesn’t initiate trouble, Ben might engage if another dog provokes him, particularly dominant males, so introductions to unfamiliar dogs should be supervised. However, he’s mostly indifferent to other dogs unless they’re particularly territorial. Ben isn’t a fan of cats—he gets overly excited when he spots one on walks and tries to chase them, so a cat-free home would be best. His energy level is moderate; he loves outdoor adventures but is content to relax peacefully afterward. When it comes to walks, Ben is calm and steady enough for even seniors or children to handle, though his love for sniffing means he’ll often pause to investigate interesting scents. Ben rarely barks and is well behaved in a crate or car. He does need a little help getting into the vehicle as he’s not quite ready to jump in on his own. Ben is polite with humans around food but may growl if another dog approaches his meal. However, if the other dog stays neutral, so does Ben. He’s fully outdoor potty-trained but may mark in new environments. Once a loyal guardian of a vegetable garden, Ben found himself homeless when the area was redeveloped, but he’s now ready to find his forever family.
