Although I am Jindo mix, I rather look like a mix of Labrador Retriever and Pitbull with a clean ivory coat. Before I got rescued, I was on the leash (it was very short!!!) for 2 years. I had no food or water, but I survived for 2 years with whatever strangers offered me. Luckily, I got rescued by a kind human and I am now ready for my second chapter of my life. I like to socialize with people, but I might appear to be a bit shy in the beginning. But no worries. Offer me some treats and I can easily get along with you. Once I get comfortable, I will show you my belly (belly rub please!) and let you lift me up under my belly. Kids under 13 year old? I love kids! I think they are awesome! I like to hang out with kids and adults. With Dogs & Cats & Chickens Not only humans, but I also like to play with furry friends! I easily approach them as I want to play with them. I usually get along with almost everyone but for some reason, I cannot get along with boys that are big in size! But if anybody tries to pick up a fight, be aware because I will not step back!!! Oh, and if I ever get into a fight with anybody, I refuse to play with that specific one (I will never forget what happened.....) So please keep an eye on me when I am with other friends. Sigh... My friends went crazy when they saw chickens, but I had zero interest at all. Activities & Walk With lack of walk experience, I cannot say I am a pro. I tend to stop and sniff often during my walk. I prefer to walk in a quiet area rather than busy roads where there are cars everywhere. When I get frightened, I might stop and lie down on my belly. My energy level is fairly high so if you want me to relax quietly at home, please provide me sufficient amount of outdoor activities on a daily basis. Resource Guarding & Crate & Cars & Potty Break I recently had my guarding test done. Hmm.. I do not guard against people (because I love them so much) but I growl at other furry ones if they approach me too close while I am eating! Personal space guys!!! Step back when I eat!!!!!! So if you hear me growling, that means I do not want to get distracted while I am eating. I might also bark when there I see strangers or if there is anything that I need that requires a human's attention. I got my crate-training done and I am confident that I can stay calm inside. As I mentioned before, I get scared of cars . So when I need to get inside the car, I may need a bit of your help. Just give me a lift, and I will get in. For potty breaks , I prefer to go outside and do my business. When I visit new places, there is a chance that I might start marking as well. Hello! I'm Yona! Age: 3 years Breed:*Chow Chow/Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight:18 kg Status: Neutered Male My Story: I was rescued just in time from a kill shelter, and now I'm searching for my forever home where I can share all my love and happiness! Despite having a tough past, including some abuse, I'm ready to trust and bond with a loving family who will be patient and kind with me. All About Me: Shy but Sweet: I might be a little timid when we first meet, but offer me a yummy snack, and I'll warm up to you quickly! Once I feel comfortable, I'll even show you my belly for some gentle rubs. Friendly with Other Dogs: I enjoy greeting other dogs, whether they're big or small. I don't usually engage in play, but I'm always polite and avoid any kind of confrontation. Making new doggy friends is fun! People-Focused Walker: On our walks, I love focusing all my attention on you. Cats and other distractions don't bother me much; I'm happiest staying by your side and enjoying our time together. Outdoor Enthusiast: I have a normal energy level and enjoy exploring the outdoors. After our adventures, I like to relax and rest quietly by your side. Maybe we can cuddle up together? Learning the Ropes: I do tend to pull on the leash a bit, but I'm currently in training and getting better every day! With your guidance and patience, I'll become the perfect walking companion in no time. Easygoing Eater: I don't guard my food and am happy to share space during mealtime. Treats and dinner times are enjoyable and stress-free with me around. Toy Lover: I'm discovering the joy of playing with toys and absolutely love it! Since I didn't have many toys before, each playtime is a new and exciting adventure for me. Let's have some fun together! Gentle Affection: Because of my past, sudden touches can startle me. I prefer to come to you on my own terms and enjoy gentle, loving pets. Give me a little time, and I'll show you just how affectionate I can be. Potty Trained: I'm comfortable doing my business both indoors on pads and outside. I'm smart and can easily adapt to whatever routine suits our home best. Calm and Composed: I'm very calm when resting in a kennel and appreciate having a cozy space to relax. Quiet moments are some of my favorites. Why You'll Love Me: I'm a sweet and loving boy who's overcome a tough start and is ready to share my heart with a family who understands me.
