Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 10/20/24 Family Name: Harebane House MUST HAVE AN ACTUAL FENCED-IN YARD (not wireless/underground) as she spooks easily!   Meet Twelve! She was dog #12 taken out of a hoarder house in 2020. At that time, she was about 3 years old, and was living in a 800 sq. ft home with 40 other dogs. Ever since we have known her, she has been extremely timid and spooky easily, certainly due to the circumstances she lived in for her first 3 years of life. She would do best in a home with a confident dog who can help to bring her out of her shell. She was foster 'failed' and adopted by Tailwaggers' founder, Dawn Boeselager. Twelve learned her name while she was still a foster, and the name stuck after her adoption (especially since we linked it to Aaron Rodgers being the Packers QB at that time). Dawn passed on October 9th, so her beloved pup needs to find a new home. Over the years there she lived with dozens of other dogs of all sizes being fostered. She is timid with them at first, but will play and open up to them with time. Now she's about 8 years old, housebroken, kennel trained. She needs to be adopted by someone who understands the patience required to work with an insecure dog and who can build up her confidence! She loves to cuddle, sit on her chosen person's lap, and sleeping in a pile of pillows if she can find one. Squeaky toys and balls are some favorites. It will take her some time to warm up to new people, but certainly will with some patience! Adoption Fee: $450.00  We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are 6 months to 1 year or age. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.  at one of our preferred clinics. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. November 7, 2024, 10:00 am
