It is most unusual that Critter Cavalry rescue has been able to offer a Japanese Chin mix dog to the community of rescue adopters. This boy is probably 70% Japanese chin and maybe the other percentage is Shih Tzu. But he is the cutest little guy at just 18 months of age and 13 lb of pure soft hair.   His name is Cash and we know that someone will hit the jackpot if they adopt this boy. He is easy on a leash meets people with a Ted bit of shyness but yet welcoming manners and he is good with all other dogs and would most probably be best friends with a cat if he was invited to be. He's working on housebreaking as we haven't had any but a couple of weeks and he's learning the rules and schedule. He is a beautiful boy with a sweet and soft demeanor just as sweet and soft as he looks. We love his black faced and his warm dark eyes that look at you with the question of ' will you be my next mom or dad?'. He is a tiny little thing that will be such a treasure to have in your life. The breed is Hardy and exceptionally smart and very affectionate. You will find nothing wrong with life if Cash is by your side traveling life's journey while riding in the car for adventures or walking the pathways of life to explore the neighborhood.   He will be a friendship magnet as people stop to admire his handsome beauty. Cash is an absolute delight—super cute, incredibly sweet, and full of love. At 18 months old, this 13-pound bundle of joy is still very much a puppy at heart, with a playful and affectionate personality that will melt anyone’s heart. Cash thrives on human companionship -- a true lap dog who loves to curl up with you and soak up all the love and attention you can give. His ideal day includes snuggling on the couch, getting belly rubs, and being your constant companion. If you’re looking for a cuddly little buddy who’ll be by your side, Cash is the one! Though he’s crate trained, Cash isn't a huge fan of being in his crate for long periods. However, he’s making great progress and with some patience, he'll continue to improve. Cash is still working on his house training, but he’s learning quickly and with consistent routines, he'll be fully housebroken in no time. Cash is great on a leash and enjoys going for walks, which will be an excellent way for him to bond with his new family while staying active. He’s friendly with other dogs and loves to play, but we’re not sure how he feels about cats just yet. Cash would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. He loves attention and would appreciate having a family that can give him the time and love he craves. While he’d likely do well with older kids due to his unknown background, he’s gentle and sweet, so with proper introductions, he might do fine with younger children as well. If you’re looking for a lovable companion who will adore you and bring endless joy into your life, Cash would make an amazing addition to your family! For inquiries email elizabeth@compactcaninerescue.org Fee: $600 Location: Chesapeake, VA Things to consider when applying to adopt Stewie: He walks well on lead He is obedient, comes when called Potty manners have been great so far (that will change when he changes households until he gets used to the new environment) Plays well with the resident dogs Respectful of the young/small grandchild that visits He is very friendly and loves to cuddle Medium-High energy and will benefit from a consistent exercise program He does like to chew so he will need appropriate chew toys/treats He will chew on inappropriate items if left in his reach, he should be in a safe space when owners are away He is crate trained and happily goes in his crate when asked He is a toy destroyer and must be watched with any dog toy   Stewie is just about perfect according to foster mom. He is a 2-3 year old small, fluffy, mixed breed (maybe bichon, poodle, maltese type) pup weighing about 14 pounds. He is very sweet. He plays well with the resident dogs. He is respectful of the grandchildren. He will chew on any item left within his reach so he should be monitored/watched closely with any toys. To avoid unnecessary trips to the ER, No items (shoes, clothes, stuffed toys) should be left in reach when you are not watching him closely Bully sticks and super chewer toys should be given to him only under close supervision. Stewie will be neutered on November 14th. Once healed, he is ready for his new home. He is microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. Don't miss out on this lovebug! Hi everyone My name is Handsome and my foster mom insisted that I have this name because she thinks I am  so handsome.  I am a 2-year-old Lhasa Apso/Poodle mix that weighs 23 lb and a very good boy I am told.  I have some very funny expressions and an easygoing personality that makes my foster mom brag on me. I am crate trained and I walk really well on a leash and I meet new people with very good manners and happy tail wags. I'm great with other dogs and I've been cat tested and I could be friends with all of them. I am 95% house broken but occasionally I find the urge to market certain area because my foster mom has lots of other foster dogs. It's a guy thing sometimes. I am really excited about finding my forever home where I can have my own bed and someone's full attention. I can live with another dog or two, no problem at all but right now I'm living with a lot of other dogs and so I'm hoping to get my own special people who think I am the best dog ever, because I am. My name is Biscuit and I'm a southern boy that somehow got lost from my family and they never came looking for me. I was kind of in bad shape when I showed up on an older couple's front porch and curled up underneath the chair just looking for some shelter and protection from the weather. They gave me a little bit of food and water and then they started making calls trying to see if I belonged to anybody. But no one ever came forward and no one knew who I was. I was a little ragamuffin at the time but Critter Cavalry rescue really came through for me and they got me groomed and a bath and then they got me neutered in all my shots done and a microchip and a fecal and deworming is going on right now. I'm a healthy 2-year-old, 21 lb boy that everybody loves when they meet me. My foster mom said I'm housebroken which amazes her. I'm very good in the house and I'm very easy to have around so if I could talk I could probably tell him who I belong to. But I can't talk and I guess my parents don't really care where I am. But, Critter Cavalry cares where my next home is and they're out scouring the countryside looking for my next blessing of a loving family.  I'm a young boy and I have 15 years ahead of me easily.
