Story
Elsa was a found stray and given to me when no one came forward to claim her. She is an adorable dog and wonderful with my granddaughter, she's very cuddly and loves attention. The vet put her age at about 3 to 4 years old. She is fixed and has had her shots. I need to remove her because my dog whom I have had for 5 years hates Elsa and will attack her at every opportunity. It's not fair to have Elsa in this environment so I am looking for a home where she can just relax and be happy.

Story
Penny is a 7-yr old Maltipoo weighing 12 pounds. This sweet girl had to come live in her rescue home because her mom had to move to Assisted Living and could not take her precious certified service dog with her. Penny loves her squeaky toys! The louder they squeak the more fun she has. She was comfortable around the other rescues but most being young and foolish and her more sophisticated she prefers to find a quiet place. She can’t wait for her foster mom to harness her up but pretends that she would prefer to just get on with it and hit the street to enjoy the smells and interactions on the block. Penny is housebroken once a routine is established. She will sleep in a kennel but would prefer a comfortable bed being hers or yours. Penny is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, Heartworm negative and had a dental January 2025. Her adoption fee is $300. If you can’t wait to hear the squeak and meet Penny, please submit an application which can be found on our website PoquitaPawsrescue.org.ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. Story
Gabriel, as his name implies, is an angel disguised as a 9 pound five-year-old Maltipoo. This young guy came into rescue on New Years Day after being found by a compassionate family. He was waiting on the curb checking out every car.  He was filthy, stinky and his feet were totally matted and looked like clubs.  After 3 hours of cleaning him up we were very afraid of what was inside the mess on his front leg. The next day he saw the vet who determined the infection was so bad and much of his paws was missing so his leg had to be amputated. After surgery he never complained. He got up immediately and was ready to go. Every day he is getting stronger with daily leash walks. He has been completely housebroken since day one. When out on break he mingles with several other dogs without incident. Gabriel occasionally barks if he needs to go out or if breakfast is too slow coming, but otherwise he is quiet and sweet. He is very attached to his foster. He loves lying beside his person and follows wherever they go. He is very loyal and well mannered. Gabriel was neutered, microchipped, had several teeth removed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and wormed. If you can’t wait to pet and hold this amazing little dog, please please submit an application from www.Poquitapawsrescue.org.
