They are scared and under-socialized, but with patience and kind routines, they can begin to feel safe and loved. 💖 Personality & Temperament * Very timid and unsure of people * Learning what it means to live indoors and be part of a family * Each dog is different—some may approach sooner, others may need more time to feel safe * Get along with other dogs 🏡 Ideal Home We’re looking for patient adopters who understand that these dogs are starting from scratch and will need time to adjust. Requirements & Important Notes: * Securely Fenced-in yard required: They are not leash trained yet and are too frightened for walks. * Somewhat potty trained: They’re learning to use pee pads indoors and will need continued guidance and routine. * Not leash trained: They will need time to get comfortable with a leash. 🌼 Meet Our “Gentleman’s Club 7” Breeder-Release Maltese Dogs 🌼 (Reginald, Clarence, Edwin, Percival, Wilfred, Bertram, and Theodore) Percival—affectionately called Percy—is a sweet, playful little Maltese who is just beginning to discover what life as a beloved pet is all about. Percy came from a breeding facility where he lived closely with the gentleman club, and because of that, they are very attached to each other. A home with another friendly, social dog is a must for him—he truly thrives when he has a buddy by his side. He is fostered with Edwin and they nonstop race the house with each other. Percy is a funny, charming little guy with a gentle spirit. Living in a home with people is still new to him, and while he’s learning that being picked up and cuddled can be safe and cozy, it does make him a bit nervous at first. With patience, he will settle into your lap and relax, and continued gentle handling will help him build confidence. His preference, though, is happily sitting close to his doggy sibling, soaking up that familiar comfort. His favorite toy is a plastic water bottle. He is not leash trained and will need a securely fenced yard to safely explore the outdoors. Percy is currently using potty pads and will need ongoing work and consistency to learn pottying outside. He does not enjoy being kenneled but does well in an x-pen, where he feels more at ease. Percy is looking for a calm, patient home that understands breeder-release dogs and is willing to let him move at his own pace. With another dog to guide him and a family who celebrates small wins, Percy will continue to blossom into the delightful little companion he’s meant to be. 💛 Adoption fee: $350.00 plus tax Apply at: www.camp companion.org

Hi there! I’m Theodore! I’m part of the Gentlemen’s Club. We were all released from a breeder, and placed into foster homes, so I’ve been a bit unsure of things, but I’m starting to come out of my shell! My foster mom keeps tossing me treats, so I like her. Her snuggles are pretty tolerable as well. I even wiggle my tail when I see her now! She thinks I’m a fun little guy, and she loves how I take in the world, before deciding to explore or play. She thinks I’m pretty smart! I LOVE seeing what all my foster siblings are doing. I like to play, and I like the toys that I find, but I’m still working on my confidence all the time. I even started playing a bit of fetch though! I’d do best in a home with another dog to show me around, and a secure fence or small area to go potty in (like an X-pen), since I’m not great on a leash(yet!). I’m learning every day though, and gaining more confidence! I have been working on going potty outside, and doing well on a consistent routine.
