Story
Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process. Located in Troy, MO Preference: Kids or a young playful dog Beanie Baby is a shy little lady but she wants so much to trust and receive love. She is figuring out life as a free puppy and prefers pets under her chin and ear. It can be scary for a hand to come over the head. Beanie LOVES to chase after her foster fur brothers and she does her best to keep up even though she is smaller. She is learning all about toys, soft beds, and gentle touches. She has even began to give small gentle kisses to foster mom. Beanie would do best with a young confident dog in her home and a family willing to go slow and be gentle. Beanie Baby came from a place known as a puppy mill and did not get the socialization she needed as a young puppy. Her new family will need to continue to work on his confidence and show him lots of love and patience. Beanie Baby's adoption fee is $500. She is microchipped, current on age appropriate vaccines and on monthly heart worm prevention. She has not been spayed due to her young age (we spay/neuter at 6 months). A spay/neuter contract is required. Next steps can be found at leiashope.org. PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing. All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application. We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet. Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
