Story
Here's Parker!! This little cutie got off to a rough start in life, but he is learning to trust people. Parker is nervous at first, but if you are patient, he will warm up to you. He loves treats and already walks nicely on the leash. Parker is guessed to be a 5 year old male Maltese. He is a handsome boy with beautiful eyes. Parker loves to play once he relaxes and seems to enjoy petting. He is absolutely adorable and likes to cuddle up next to you or in your lap once he feels safe with you. He is the perfect size for snuggling!!! Parker has spent time with our professional trainer working with him on potty training, socializing with dogs and humans, kennel training, doggie door training, leash and car training. (By the way, there is also discounted support/specialized training available in Fort Collins for owners of scared dogs) He is now living with a volunteer in their home. Please consider Parker!!

Story
Hi, I am Charlie and the rescue thinks I am a 7-year-old male Maltese. I am a handsome pup (so I am told), shaved shortly before going into foster care to remove all the matted hair. I was VERY scared initially since I had never been held or touched much, but I am learning that human cuddles and love feel very good. I am told that my foster family, Joy and her son, Andrew, are very good at loving / rehabbing us scared littles since I am a perfect size for snuggling. Just so you know, I have real puppy eyes that melt your heart! I will need an adopter with lots of love and patience to let me learn according to my comfort level, but I promise I will be very loyal and will adore you once I understand that you are safe and love me. I will probably do best in a quiet home with adults or older children, although I really enjoy being part of a pack, especially confident dogs like my foster siblings that can teach me about "dogging". (By the way, there is also discounted support / specialized training available in Fort Collins for owners of scared dogs like myself.)
